C-Span had a feed from the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Channel) on a couple of hours ago which did a story on this. The CBC said that there were more than expected numbers of "peace" protesters, but the CBC appeared to devote the meat of the story to the pro-American counterprotesters. I sure alot of FReepers wound up on Canadian news tonight! I wish I was there.

I think you're wrong. In Bush v. Gore, activist Bush supporters helped turn the tide by speaking out against the "secret" hand-counts being attempted in Dade Co. In fact, every time you return a leftist's fire with fire, they generally shrivel under the pressure.

The problem with Vietnam protests was that good people tolerated them for too long without speaking out until it got out of hand.
