First question - is the picture already on the internet or do you simply have it on your local computer?

Hey Dirtboy, speaking of that. I used to post pics from Photo point.com, till they started charging money to do it. Do you know of any free sites left, that we can post pictures from?

Good point dirtboy. If the picture is on your computer, you will have to have some web place host (hold) the picture before you can post it. This is done with various methods. Sometimes you use a place to hold the picture, (some are free, some charge). Some Internet service providers give you free space that you can host your own pictures. I have to use a FTP (file transfer prodical) service to load my pictures to my free space given me by my Internet provider. You internet provider will have instructions on how to do this and what space (if any) they provide.

You can't do it from your computer. It must be on the Internet somewhere.

Does this work?

Caption reads: "I hate Americans". Thought it was rather sarcastically funny.

The pix is on the internet.

If you have a home page (most isps give you space), just upload the pix to it
and put it's URL in the html code. Don't forget to end that code with a </A>.

Ie: <IMG SRC="http://www.your_home_page.com/image.jpg">put title here</A>

OK, first of all, the pic must be on an Internet-accessible server. I'd suggest something like www.photopoint.com. It's true that they charge about 20 bucks for a year, but that's no big deal. You scan the pics, etc., then upload them to photopoint (VERY simple; they tell you exactly what to do). Once there, you will see below each pic where it says "link". Click on that, and it will tell you the URL for that pic. Just "copy" that URL.

Now, you have the "address" of the pic appropriately copied. Once on FR, use the following syntax:

[img src="the URL of your image"], only use the "<" and ">" instead of the "[" and "]" (brackets), ok?

Your pic will show up just fine. :)
