Rosary Campaign for October 13, 2001
Eimail

Posted on 10/12/2001 2:48:22 PM PDT by HapaxLegamenon

On October 13, 2001 it is hoped that 1,000,000 people will pray the Rosary in fulfillment of Our Lady's request for world peace and the triumph of her Immaculate Heart. Your praying one just one Rosary can help make the goal of one million a reality.
On October 13, 2001, please pray the Rosary during the following times (according to your time zone -- those outside the United States are asked to coordinate your efforts to pray at the same time Catholics in the U.S. are doing so):
9:00 am to 10:00 am (Eastern)
8:00 am to 9:00 am (Central)
7:00 am to 8:00 am (Mountain)
6:00 am to 7:00 am ( Pacific)

Please help promote the One Million Rosaries for Peace by making photo copies of this note and distributing it, or by forwarding this email to interested people or by calling fellow Catholics, urging them to take part in this important event..
May God bless our efforts!

Sr. Lucy's (Fatima apparition witness) convent confirmed that there, indeed, had been an apparation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Sister Lucy on Saturday, 06 October 2001 AD. When the Blessed Mother appeared to Sister Lucy, she was very, very sad. She told Sister Lucy that the Faithful needed to pray many rosaries in order to prevent a blood bath.

Our Lady of Victory celebrates the defeat of the muslims in Europe centuries ago. Praying the Rosary will help to defeat the muslim and islamic hertical system and false religion once aqgain. The Mother of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ asks everyone to pray for the salvation of souls and for conversion and repentance. I will join those that pray.

Marie, that's very interesting if true. Do you have a link or know of a reputable website that has this information on it? Thanks!

I hate to start the rumor mill going crazy, but this came across my wife's Catholic e-mail list today:

Following is the text of a letter written on October 7th (Feast of the Holy Rosary) by a Benedictine Nun in France to her parents who live here in St. Marys [Kansas]:

Dear Mom and Dad,
Our Lady appeared to Lucia of Fatima (She often does, they say) and asked her to have all the Catholics around the world pray the rosary with great insistence TODAY (feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary). Our Lady told Lucia to have the rosary said from midnight this morning till midnight (tonight) asking God to spare the world .... from blood shedding (her words were "from a sea of blood") which is very imminent and in preparation.

Lucia spread the message to Carmels (Carmelite Convents) around the world and one sent us a fax this morning; we're having Adoration all day and the rosary (15 decades) after None (note: Divine Office). If Father hasn't heard this PLEASE ask him to have the parish pray the rosary today.

The Holy Father has also asked every Catholic around the world to say the rosary every day in October for peace in the world, and he insisted. Today especially because Our Lady asked that. A factory in Touluse (in France...the factory produces powder for munitions) exploded a week or so ago; they're almost certain that it was done by the same Islamic group that did the crimes in New York and D.C.

Our Lady can obtain peace for us, but we must pray, especially the rosary. See what you can do to get this message of Our Lady to anyone and everyone TODAY....

Two quick observations:

1) Given that the nun's parents live in St. Mary's, Kansas, there is at least a reasonable chance that this is coming by way of the Society of St. Pius X.

2) Regardless of whether or not it's true, saying the Rosary for Sister Lucy's intentions and for world peace is a good idea, ESPECIALLY on the 13th.

Ephesians 6:18 "By all prayer and supplication praying at all times in the spirit; and in the same watching with all instance and supplication for all the saints:"

Apocalypse 5:8 "And when he had opened the book, the four living creatures, and the four and twenty ancients fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints:"

Luke 1:48 "Because he hath regarded the humility of his handmaid; for behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed."

Catholic bump

I have to admit, I've never prayed the "Full 15", but tomorrow I will, even if I have to lock myself in the bathroom to have a few moments away from the kids.

On second thought, THEY"RE going to pray it with me :-)

Know the part of the Lord's Prayer (Protestant version) that goes "For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever"? Guess what? That's a "man made prayer" -- a liturgical prayer from a Catholic missal of the 9th Century. But you've no doubt said it.

I realize that your intentions are good. You simply need to read more about Church history and study the Catholic Faith. In the Catholic Church, you will find your true home.

As a convert to the Catholic Church only 5 years ago - I have to admit - I haven't prayed the entire 15 either. But - believe me - I will now.

Thanks for the ping - and it was nice "hearing" from you. :))

Oh - and how are you feeling these days?

I didn't know you are a convert! That's great! I was born into it, but "drifted". I've just come back this year, and it is a struggle with all these kids AND myself. But we'll get it.

I'm feeling pretty good, all things considered. I must be slowing down, though. I've let myself get intimidated with the Latin teaching. Try, try again :-)

Hope you all are doing well and adjusting to your college student!
