It's very unfortunate that patriotic American reprint "news" from sources allied with and sympathetic to our enemies. It is wrong morally, and also bad for morale.

Keep in mind : the only country bordering Afghanistan that is harboring the US attack troops is Pakistan - where the sharia is law, the main sponsors of the Taliban for years ...
ISLAMABAD, October 22, 2001 /from RIA Novosti correspondent Vladimir Shreter/ -- According to the paper News, Pakistan has handed over a fourth air base in Panjgur (Baluchistan province), to the US. US aircraft and servicemen have previously been seen on military aerodromes in the towns of Pasni, Jacobabad, and Dalbandin.

Unfortunately, this is very true. During the bombing of Yugoslavia 6 of the 7 countries bordering it were hit with missiles. (Romania was the only one spared)

We're probably going to have to fight them sooner or later. Might as well take out two birds with one stone.

Maybe we will stop hearing the NA complain that the Americans aren't supporting the front lines via bombings. That will be a good thing. ;)

Really! From most news reports I've read or heard, the Tally Band is within a few miles of the Northern Defiance. F-16s have to fly over something in order to drop bombs on the enemy. Why not the heads of observing photographers. Duh. What propaganda.

I do no hate Americans. I feel for almost all Americans almost what I feel for the Caribbean Indians, as Colombus arrived on the scene. Short time later they were wiped out from the face of the earth. I feel sadness.

And I don't hate the Islamic cultists that follow a "religion" that has as it's major purpose the keeping of ignorant people ignorant and under control. What a pitiful lot the sheep that follow Islam in the middle east are. Puppets to the rich Arabs who don't even offer them crumbs. Fools that follow the sicko Sheikh Usamah Bin-Muhammad Bin-Ladin and his ilk. Idiots that die for Arafat fighting against someone they will never defeat without all of their own deaths.

I assure you that before Americans are wiped away from the face of the Earth every Salah will be directed towards nothing more than very big holes in the Earth.

Was this an accident? Or a friendly reminder of who's really in charge?

IF...two bombs land(ed) near opposition posts and another bomb hit a Taliban controlled area ... THEN why is this considered "firing on Northern Alliance Positions"? Just sounds like close air support to me...

Exactly...

Stuff happens in a war zone; no one should be surprised when it does.

Right! I think we'd all be shocked to learn how many of our troops were killed by friendly fire in WWII. It's a risk that comes with the territory.

Dude ... America will not perish! We fight for our freedom and way of life, and I'll guarantee you that we'll have more motivation going for us than those fanatic sh*theads ever ... and I mean ever thought of.

Don't be fooled because America is a peaceful nation. When our wrath is aroused we are terrible to face in battle.

The Taliban and Usama Bin Laden would've done well to study the Imperial Japanese and Adm. Yamamoto in WW2. Right after he attacked Pearl Harbor, Isoroku Yamamoto said " I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant, and fill him with a terrible resolve." The 'Sleeping Giant' is wide awake and filled with that terrible resolve. And you know what we did to the Japs. Every ship that was in on the Pearl Harbor strike was sunk ... and that was a total of 125 or more! Do you seriously think some little pissant country with not even half of Japan's wartime strength is going to scare us? The thing about Americans most of you non-Americans don't understand is, you can kill a few of us ... BUT WE JUST KEEP COMING UNTIL THE ENEMY IS DEFEATED! Plus there is NO NATION on earth that can match our industrial output if we go on a wartime footing. This is not bragging ... it is a fact!

To the Taliban and Usama ... BE AFRAID OF US ... BE VERY, VERY AFRAID! You called down the thunder ... WELL NOW YOU GOT IT!

I see you're in denial. The fact is that friendly fire is a problem that's worse in the American military than in others. I'm not saying this to rag on our troops; I support them fully. But that does not mean we should not recognize problems and deal with them. Friendly fire was a huge problem in the Gulf War. If I remember correctly, more Americans died from friendly fire than from Iraqi fire, or something close to it. It was also a problem in Vietnam, it was a problem in Korea, and it was a problem in WW2. And this report indicates that it is still a problem.
