Mt. Pilot doesn't accept envelopes or packages of any kind, so there is no fear there.

I believe they consider "testing for exposure" to be a nasal swab for spores. They also do a blood test, which I would think would be for antibodies.

Barney remains the single greatest comedic character in the history of television. Take him out of Mayberry and that show would have been like taking a tranquilizer. I have a poster of Barney and a magnet of Barney looking at me in my office as I type.

My daughter clarified the type of pacakage she received.
They were wrapped in plastic and the powder was inside the package on the cards. I thought the powder was on the outside exposed to other mail.
I don't think she has anything to worry about. Just some powder on plastic cards to make them easier to handle.

Pisgah Forest [Near Brevard, NC] PO was evacuated last week. False alarm.

Well we have an idiot for a governor, a bunch of political whores and morons for legislators, and a plethora of left-wing commie bastards polluting our public schools and universities. And they are all liberals and Democrats too. Maybe Boss Hog Easley will get around to doing something about terrorism after he's finished kissing the next ethnic group's ass for votes and money or making sure preteens are wearing that mandatory bicycle helmet. I feel so safe with Governor Fife at the helm.

Just got this -- thanks for the "send", Constitution Day!! Will be on the lookout here in Charlotte. We've had some "incidents" in the uptown area that turned out to be false alarms. Every incident needs to be seriously assessed -- we are at war with a hidden enemy.

Before y'all give me a tin foil hat, isn't it a little peculiar that THIS happened days after Weasley announces his terrorism task force plan?
To: callisto
Unless they specifically said blood or antibody tests it would be most likely to be just the nasal swab. And that ain't good enough in the machinery areas!

Thanks for the headsup. I heard about this earlier today but just now watching news about it. Initial tests for anthrax at Raleigh downtown P.O. came back negative - thank God. Police are patrolling near the P.O. But news reports says Federal building should open tomorrow. The suspicious letter was sent to the bankruptcy court - it is not the Post Office as I thought - but it is the Federal Building. But then they say the building will be closed for 2 more days til the testing is totally completed! Sheesh!
GRRRRRRRR - news readers.

Now tell us how you really feel!
Way to go, I couldn't have said it better myself.
