Now this is a good post.

There are only two shortages on earth.

The first one is a shortage of Capitalism.

The second is a shortage of enough people to take advantate of what little Capitalism we have left.

Islam is still weak, but it is growing. Never mind the terrorists; check the birthrates.

From the frequently posted article by Sobran, "Belloc's Prophecy." Sobran doesn't do his homework.

Whatever the reason, it's happening. Sorry I am unable to post the graphics from the article, which show ski-slope declines in fertility in places like Mexico.

So how many billion people inhabit the earth today? And how many were there 40 years ago?

A simple cost/benefit analysis of the prospect of having children will dramatically prove it is no longer worth it. Add to this the feminazi revolution and every man knows he's gonna get the shaft and she'll get the kids leaving him with just the bills .... and more and more men realize it is REALLY not worth it. Men once desired children for reasons of 'empire'. No matter how miniscule the empire might be ... sons at least could help build it and continue it after the progenitors death. Today quite the reverse is true. The brats will more likely bankrupt you and squander anything you are able to build anyway.

Just make your kids go out and get jobs.

I believe that about Mexico, even here in the US, it's pretty hard to find a Mexican family with more than 3 kids. And early premarital sex has them getting chlamydia infections before high school which leads to infertility, the highschools here (on the border) are reporting epidemic levels of chlamydia.

I'm still trying to figure out how "each couple must have slightly more than two children...." LOL

Each? Each?

Please explain this to me. :)

Ok, it really says, "Therefore, each couple must on the average have slightly more than two children if a population is to remain stable."

I get it now. It's still worded quite poorly. The word "each" doesn't belong in there. It should say something like, "Therefore, couples must on the average have....."

Declining population is due to two factors not one: first is the that people all over the world are living longer. Second is, of course, the urbanization of the population worldwide which always includes lower birth rates.

See "The Skeptical Environmentalist", a scientific book debunking modern science myths.

I don't believe in illegal immigration. I haven't said the INS should be wasting time deporting 8 million Mexicans right now, I'm a lot more concerned with the problems the Middle East immigrants are causing----they should be deported. As far as the Mexicans, I think they should come legally but to me they are a separate issue from the Middle Easterners. I'm even in favor of possibly some amnesty ---if someone has never used social services of any kind (no free hospital or medical), speaks English, has broken no other laws, have auto insurance if they drive, filed an income tax return, paid taxes on their income, registered for the draft if over 18 years old and male, etc etc. We just don't need the moochers.

I apologize if my proof reading was less than 100%--ViaVoice is good, but you still need to go over everything twice.
