thanks - you are right, and it seems like you ARE doing all you can do at the moment. But if Jim (or someone else of size and credibility) would offer to lead our actions beyond those you stated, I believe as you seem to that we would be a force of change for the good of the country....

thanks, but again, based on your suggestion, that's just me seeking Jim again - I have done that. Now, we need Jim, (or some strong and credible leader) to offer to consolidate our voice and our intent.

Hillary Clinton Says Americans should Shovel Chicken $h!t to get themselves back to work.

That’s basically what she just said when asked on CNN what poultry waist has to do with national security.

I focus on the Vince Foster murder because all that needs to be done is for Ashcroft or someone of authority to pronounce that it was not a suicide. Then all eyes would turn to the clintons. A murder in the White House. Think of that! Their other crimes would follow. Its really very simple but those in authority refuse to touch it. I don't know why. It is such a blatant murder that any fool could see. I keep praying and calling.

Pet Peeve - someone who "volunteers" someone else to do something that they, themselves, are not willing to do.

Bobono, if you want this done, you must take the LEAD. You must be willing to take action yourself. What a cop-out to insist that Jim jump in. At the least, it seems that you are trying to put Jim on the spot. My opinion, Jim needs not to defend himself to you, as to why he isn't willing.

Sorry, bobono, this isn't the way to get things done. You must not expect others to do what you aren't willing to do yourself.

I agree - but look at what was said during the impeachment trials - that even if the documents in the evidence room were viewed (which they were not) by all the congress/senate and if it all proved Clinton had lied, treasoned, raped, etc. we still couldn't get a conviction.

This is due to the strength of the MEDIA, that, up to this point in time, has had no counter-balance.

EFFECTIVELY MANAGED, WE CAN BE THE EFFECTIVE OPPOSITION TO THE MEDIA

bo...

I am trying to have a civil discourse, therefore please do not assume anything as to how I feel.

In otherwords you are saying the work done by myself and countless others concerning the ads were, pointless, needless, worthless or how would you characterize them????

At the time they were the only action in town. We did what we could with what we had. That fact remains the same today. Any and all political causes that want to go national in scope, have got to have money. Ask Ross Perot.

I do not subscribe to the, "all the others do it". Check history, read me the names of any presidents that ever investigated another president for wrong doing. It has never happened. Just as now, Ashcroft is blocking any investigation into Janet Reno.

My comments are born from admitted inability to lead, rather than unwillingness. I don't mean to put Jim on the spot. But if Rush had to choose between providing a guest spot to me or to Jim, who do you think Rush would choose. I have no name recognition - Jim does. And I offered an "out" to Jim by stating that it could be anyone with similar credibility.

Nothing personal - you seemed to claim ads were difficult and ineffective - I was proposing an alternative.

If we continue to rely on history to guide us, we will conform to the same mistakes. This is about change, and NOT tolerating Ashcroft's willingness to replace Reno as ineffective head of DOJ....we need a consolidated voice to say so, not a thousand individual posts, or an obscure and expensive advertisement. Sorry if I offended - not intended.

I wonder if those in the media that acknowledge FR would help - Rush, Sean, Mike, etc...and how about Ms. Coulter?

May I add to that list, " how about David Schippers ?"

I went to look for the transcript but it hasn't been posted yet. Hillary was interviewed on CNN, the final question asked her to explain what poultry waste had to do with National Security. Apparently this is part of the National Security bill going through the Senate, and they had a video clip of Daschel vigorously supporting the issue. Hilary spent about three minutes dancing around the issue and criticizing the house bill that was sent to the Senate. In the end she said that poultry waste was a viable way to get Americans back to work.

I like Bush, but I remain angry with him and with Ashcroft for not directly pursuing these Clinton’s.

I feel as strongly as you that the xlintons should be punished, but, you know what?... it ain't ever going to happen. Let me tell you why. Bush may be a infinitely better person than x42, but he is a loyal member of the elite ruling class of this country. From the white house on down thru the state govts, even down into the local govts of large population centers, gov't today is a single, massive entity tasked only with self-perpetuation, unlimited growth and increased control of the masses.

Bush is conducting his war, Ashcroft is busy burning the tattered remains of the Constitution and the rest of the national-level politicians are busy scurrying around building their power and control. The bad thing is, after this latest chapter of the american empire is written, we'll be less free, less safe and less wealthy. The state will be bigger, more intrusive, more powerful, and all the members of the elite, xlintons included, will be living high on the hog, on our dime.

We allowed the state to get way too much out of control to turn it back around. Its all downhill from here, folks. Remember what happened to the last honest, decent, reform-minded outsider to be elected president (Jimmy)? Washington nearly destroyed him. Fault him all you want, but he tried to do what he believed what was right for the country and he couldn't change a thing. Trying to elect good people to reform the system is like pouring clean water into sewage... no matter how much water you add, you still get sewage. The system can corrupt good people faster than they can be elected, and those that can't be corrupted (Jimmy, Ron Paul) are marginalized, ignored or driven from power.

Neighbor, long before I'd ever been on the web, or heard of Free Republic, I was doing my damdest to "get" the clintons & their ilk.

Remember Bob Barr's "Inquiry into Drafting Letters of Impeachment?"
( 1997, I *think* )

I was on board for that- writing letters, calling talk shows, sending money when I could.

Well, we did, at least, get the corrupt & treasonous SOB impeached, if not thrown out of office. Considering 90% of the news and entertainment industries were against us, I'm surprised we got as far as we did. Educating the public, then as now, is the key.

I post stuff like this:

-clintonism in one easy lesson--

because I am still trying to educate people... and I get sick of doing it, tired of hammering on the same old stuff... but I also know that many, many people have never, ever heard these things before. If I reach just one more person a day who wakes up out of their TV-induced stupor and says "Geez! That bunch was a pile of criminals!" then I'm doing something to the good.

There is so much more I could tell you, and I'm not trying to give you a hard time- the point is, we have to first bypass the corrupt, celebrity-worshipping media ( in all its forms ) and get more & more people to educate themselves & get their own news. Instead of the Pap spoon-fed by Kicky Katie and her pals on TV, who are still madly in love with the 'toons. Even now after all we've seen and been thru, they still adore the rotter. Think "moon-struck teenager..."

Here's most of what I have published on FR, and a fair amount of it has links in one way or another to that hideous pair who raped America:

Backhoe's Digs- links to more links

I have more, but have housework to do, groceries to get, an ailing wife to tend, and old, old Mom to see.... back ( maybe! ) later....

I think our media friends are consistent in publishing the dirty truths about the Clintons, and they are being heard. But...there are still so many immoral and ignorant people in this country who worship the duo, that its a tough job to convince them that their worship is misplaced. Also, our elected and appointed representatives in government are afraid to act because of fears that their crimes or indiscretions might come to light.

So, what to do? In addition to individual letter-writing, think about circulating a well-written and well-documented petition throughout the country. As we get people to sign, we can also introduce them to FR and other conservative sites on the net through a handout sheet with website addreses. We can also set up a speakers bureau, which we must commit to supporting, both financially and by providing audiences for the speakers.

If any of you Freepers see any merit in these suggestions, or have better ones, please post.

"Can't we do more than yak?"

Some can, some can't for whatever reasons. If nothing else, people are taking information and ideals expressed here with them into their daily lives and sharing them.. could be around the copier at work, waiting for the subway or even while being interviewed by Brit Hume! There is something to be said for that.

We don't get many opportunities from FReeping down here in South Alabama, but we do have the bad habit of discussing politics and religion (when we don't think any yankees are listening!), and I know I've enlightened quite a few people about the Clinton way of thinking. Those people take what they learned with them into the polling booth and hopefully, make wise voting choices. Same thing with the folks who saw the DC FReepers on a daily basis... something had to have sunken in.

Anyway... I definately see your point, just let's remember that there is value even in yaking.

the image of Hillary doing anything remotely associated with the people's work would be catastrophic to the image she has assembled....but I would pay to see her in an orange jumpsuit doing just that
