The best thing that could have happened to Bush happened when all the Naysayers in the media kept painting these bleak pictures about how hard it would be to take out the Taliban. Now when they start naysaying or criticising his continuing policies in eliminating terrorism, he can just point out how wrong they were about this.

I hope the media keeps it up. They have really started to lose credibility with Joe and Jane six-pack.

bin Laden smart, US stupid.
bin Laden clever, US clumsy.
bin Laden rich, US poor.
bin Laden winning, US losing.

Anyone who believes this crap: don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out.

I hope our leaders do not go weak kneed over all the killing.

Bush will not go weak kneed.

Texans know how to kill when necessary.

When it is time to kill, we kill with a will.

"Texans always move them." R.E. Lee after a Civil War battle when Texas regiments won the day.

"Are these signals directional?"

Their transmissions would more than likely be omni-directional. It's the most likely configuration of a portable HF or VHF radio setup or satellite phone.
Even if they had sent these transmissions using a directional antenna, at least two receiving stations would be needed to properly determine the location the transmission came from (Which I'm sure we've had setup and listening for sometime).
You could determine direction with one receiver and a specialized type of antenna but you'd have to be close and get very lucky.

The key figure that al-Qaeda needs to protect is its deputy and founding member, Ayman Zawahiri...

This one is very evil. A real stone killer who would use a nuke as soon as he had one.

My wife and I were discussing that tonight. NBC tried to label Putin's visit here a "failure" as there was no agreement on the missle treaty. Bush has already said, We don't have no stinken treaty. On the other hand, Russia has said they will not cut oil production, which is great for US. There was something related to the miltary campaign they were negative about as well. Let them continue to erect straw men. Bush will knock them down, making the press look stupid and strengthening the Pubbies chances in 2002.

"I hope my faith in the current administration is not misplaced."

It is not misplaced at all. And it's not blind faith either - the Bush team has performed well above expectations almost from the beginning.

Hannity and Colums had a DEMOCRAT from Louisiana on tonight. She was talking about how we need to keep our resolve, not quit. She even sort of chided Hannity when he said that we probably would be getting OBL soon. She said, again, we have to keep going, even after we have OBL taken care of.

Almost sureal.

I have no idea where this came from but I once read where Lee preferred troops from Alabama and Georgia.

No. I am not from either state.

Past the senior moment. NBC was trying to find a downside to military tribunals for the terrorist and those assisting them. Interview Leahy of all people. Don't think they will be getting very far with this one either.

That was Mary Landrieu, we call her "brown roots." She stole her last election and we hope to defeat her this time.

All of the Al Qaidas captured should be given flying lessons, right out the side door of a Blackhawk.

Much too easy for them. Maybe off the ramp of a C-17, like the food packets. If we can drop peanut butter and jelly from 30,000 feet, surely we could drop a few Taliwackers and Al-Quesyians out the back. If they didn't die from hypoxia, they surely would become unconscious, only to revive as they reached thicker air, which would be even more of a shock than being kicked off the ramp in the first place. Oh and don't forget the porker that gets to make the trip with each of them.

Are these signals directional? Can a matrix be set up to determine the location of the origin? Hope so.

All radio signals are directional, just not all receivers. and Yes, not only can we, I'm sure we already have.

The beauty of the situation is now we have most of the population of Afghanistan looking for these people to reap the American reward and revenge. The locals know the land and know who belongs and who doesn't. I don't think they will be able to hide long in Afghanistan. Pakistan is another story…
