Just when you think the media cannot sink any lower out comes the 11/18/01 (Sunday) "Doonesbury" Cartoon which shows a picture of George Bush thanking the Terrorist for making him look good!
Making fun of George Bush is one thing, but doing it at the expense of the 5,000+ September 11th victims is incomprehensible and demands an apology from the Syndicator!
To top it off, the cartoon was posted during wartime and right before Thanksgiving!
Bush Country asks you partner with us in boycotting and condemning the parent company of Doonesbury's syndicator (Universal Press Syndicate) Andrews and McMeel, based in Kansas City, MO. Let them know you are outraged! Their phone number is 816-932-6600.
Let them know you are outraged by calling them at 816-932-6600
Demand to talk to John P. McMeel (Chairman of Andrews and McMeel) which owns Universal Press Syndicate to tell him what you think of their morbid, twisted jokes at the expense of 5,000+ American lives.
If you cannot call John P. McMeel, email him at JMcmeel@amuniversal.com to express your outrage.
Contact their Director of communications Kathie Kerr at 816-360-6945.
If you really want to hit them in their pocketbook, tell them you are NOT buying any Andrews and McMeel books as holiday gifts this year (or ever again) and you're not buying any items using Universal Press Syndicate characters, like Garfield or Ziggy. (The money is in books and licenses, not newspaper subscribers)
Here is the link to the list of their comic strips, so you know what to avoid reading from now on and what items to not purchase. Make sure and send this link to everyone you know so they can boycott all these too:

Thank you for your support. Please, forward this to everyone you know! The media needs to begin to realize they cannot get away with this garbage any more without serious repercussions.
If Trudeau had a speck of decency, he'd swallow poison.
I can handle both sides being made fun of; I enjoy SNL, for example, even when it lampoons Bush -- as long as it's funny.
But Doonesbury is just snide and hateful, and no longer funny. I always skip it.
It was a malicious cartoon, designed to indoctrinate children.
Hmmm. Local call. Ok, I'll do it.
I WILL Freep this one! Thanks for the Post and phone #'s. BUMP!
Dear Mr. McMeel,
The Doonesbury cartoon of 11/18 was more disturbing than most of his not funny or thought provoking bs. Although I don't read Doonesbury, see previous sentence, I heard about this one and saw it on the internet (Free Republic.com). I will make sure to pass on to everyone I know, that you, and Garry Trudeau think it is funny to make fun of the 9/11 terrorist attack and the deaths of thousands. I expect this from Trudeau, he proved long ago to be an idiot with no sensitivity, now I know to include you in that group as well. I would threaten to never read you publications again, but I haven't read a mainstream newspaper in a couple of years, and never will again. You world is crumbling, socialism always fails.
Me either. Ever since the election, Donnesbuy has really gone downhill. I guess we know who HE voted for. I suppose he thinks we'd all be better off with martial law under Al, than winning a war under President Bush.
9-11. WE will never forget. Trudueau, obviously, already has.
Is he not married to Jane Pauley? I know she is married to a cartoonist.
Well, then, lucky for us the public school system is NOT teaching children to read.
