Happy Thanksgiving, Y'all
Lots of dahlin' loved ones arrived last night, more on the way. We expect about 18 people today but that number may have grown by the time we sit down this afternoon. One thing is certain, we'll all be missing my sweet nephew who just went out to Big Sky for the season. (Ok, I admit it, I'm an adoring, doting aunt and I've spoiled that child all his life) Have a wonderful day, Everyone.

Keep those breathless reports on Helen coming...lol...she thought we were all preparing to break in her door during the night and intern her in some camp, and she finds out we discuss koshering chickens. What a letdown for the poor girl!!Oh the humanity!! I hope you have a good time today...it will be fun reading all the turkey tales of kitchen disasters averted..unless Ringy decides to find the oven...say a prayer then! LOL..

Good luck today Susan...keep us posted, if you can :-)

muchas gracias for best thanksgiving wishes
same to you
I hope it's a wonderful day
with delicious food
Harry arrived yesterday and invited us to have t'giving with him and Jan (and kitties)
(they live where Mo's sis lives)
we'll stop at Coco's on the way for their delicious pies to bring
and at supermarket for sparkling apple cider
Harry is a chef like Servant -- not gourmet tho
he's a liberal who believes all the propaganda vs right wing
I tried to tell him they are loving people who want freedom
but he thinks we're all fundamentalist nuts who won't let anyone breathe
I think I'll mention that Servant taught us how to kosher the turkey
and catpuppy explained the photon awakening to us
Love, Palo

Turkey is in the oven at last. Had to send out TWICE for roasting pans, the first time they brought me in COOKIE SHEETS! * L*
And Hallelujah, Mrs. Smith had foresight!
Habs, were you the one asking about our Thanksgiving custom? If so, here's a link to an article you may like.
And they call it Thanksgiving

Hi ya'll
time is here
I'm puttin' on a sundress with shaghetti straps (still hot during day here)
and gettin' out a dark blue satin pocketbook
the dress is a little fancy -- it has forest green satin slip attached (it looks like a cocktail dress)
I know forest green and midnight blue don't match
but Jan and Harry will be in shorts and T shirts
also I have to find my nail polish -- I never finished polishin' my nails in the car yesterday
cause Bill said -- ''the car is not a beauty parlor''
I'll give ya'll a report when I get home
but it will be dark then
have a wonderful day
Love, Palo

I don't understand waking up on Thanksgiving morning and discovering then that you're having 20 people over for dinner. How crazy! Good luck and bon appetit.
Happy Thanksgiving All!!
I missed the tread change (was drooling at the picture)and posted this on the last thread:

Just got the potatoes peeled and on to cook. House is clean and vegetables are waiting. Oh, BTW, I love Pillbury, too! Those crescent rolls are just killers to make! I broke a nail trying to open the dang package.
Ran out of oven space so had to run the pies over to my moms house to bake in her oven.
Everyone is on the way. 15 minutes to arrival and counting...
