You know your from Wisconsin when:

Your whole family wears green and gold to church on Sunday.

Snow tires come standard on all your cars.

You refer to the Packers as "we."

You have gotten frost-bitten and sunburned in the same week.

You can identify and Illinois accent.

You know what cow-tipping is.

Down South to you means Chicago.

Travelling coast to coast means going from LaCrosse to Milwaukee.

A brat is something you eat.

You have no problem spelling Milwaukee.

You consider Madison exotic.

You don't have a coughing fit from one sip of Pabst Blue Ribbon.

You can actually pronounce Oconomowoc.

You know what a bubbler is.

You go out for fish fry every Friday.

You can recognize someone from Illinois from their driving.

You know how to polka.

You drink soda and refer to your dad as "pop."

Formal wear is blue jeans and a baseball cap.

Your 4th of July Family Picknic was moved indoors due to frost.

You know where Waukesha is AND can pronounce it.

You can visit Luxembourg, Holland, Belgium, Denmark, Berlin, New London, and Poland all in one afternoon.

You design your Halloween costumes to fit over a snowsuit.

You've seen mosquitoes with landing lights.

You have more miles on your snow blower than your car.

You enjoy driving in the winter because the potholes fill in with snow.

Your sexy lingerie is tube socks and a flannel nightie.

You owe more money on your snowmobile than on your car.

At least twice a year, your kitchen doubles as a meat processing plant.

Your snow blower gets stuck on the roof.

You think the start of deer season is a national holiday.

You find 0 degrees a little chilly.

You know what to do with a Blatz.

You actually understand these jokes.

You forward them to all your Wisconsin friends.

"Oh, but the welcome home party was the best (I still have some confetti left). I froze my tush off downtown waiting for the team, took the pix & headed home to call my daughter out in New Jersey to let her know that I was there! She was watching the welcome home parade on ESPN...when I pointed out the local anchors for the parade were Chuck Ramsey and Mary Smits, she started screaming in my ear, "OMG! They're TOGETHER!"

We also froze our heinies downtown that day; but it was worth it. We stood in front of the courthouse for 3 hours.....

Did you know the Pack's record right now (8-3) is the same as '96 after 11 games???? And they ran the table from there on out.

"Very funny. How can you folks stand to live up there? Cold weather is OK once in a while, but for eight months out of the year?"

It's not that bad. Well, sometimes it is. But not always.:)

For instance, today it was 60 degrees. In December!!!........and not a flake of snow to date; much to my chagrin. I want snow!!!!!!!!!!

OK, OK. After 11 years behind the Cheddar Curtain I emerged with a few memories (not necessarily good) ... here goes

When it's time for a another round ... get the dice box.

When you order your drink ... it's a brandy & coke.

And when it's time to leave ... you get a tuh-goh cup.

And you know that it's pronounced "Cud-a-hay

Of course. As a kid, we lived in St. Francis. One of my aunts lived in Cudahy.

I remember Barbara appearing on some show -- O'Reilly, Hannity, or Fox & Friends -- via sattelite from Green Bay (I think) while she was staying in Door County. She raved about Door County when the DC or NYC host asked her what she was doing there! I think the show aired in August. Who knew??? --As she wipes a tear from her cheek and murmurs a prayer for Barbara

She also did some Larry King shows last summer. She wasn't in Green Bay. I'm fairly certain it was the Wagon Trail Resort near Sister Bay.

Most of the people I grew up around were pretty conservative. Although, there were a few liberal cesspools around Milwaukee and Madison.

By East high, right? Did you know the NFL donated some money to the Pack to use for renovating sports facilities at area schools, and the Pack chose to re-build City Stadium?

You betcha, on Baird inbetween Main and Walnut (okay, there are a few little streets inbetween the two, but you know where I mean). They found the only thing left to City Stadium was the stone arch entrance. This week they dedicated the site--even put up a very nice sign. I promised my kid I'd grab the digital camera & take a picture of it for her. She'll get all misty-eyed.

I was less than a block east, if that, on the other side of Jefferson. Thinking about that day makes my feet cold--and I was wearing snowmobile boots! Yes, I was a vision of January outdoor Green Bay fashion that day: from head to toe, insulated everything. It's not a rumor that we don't know who's pregnant until mid-May.

And I didn't know that about their record. My statistic-addicted kid would know the answer before the end of the question :-))

I was sooo mad when we went to Florida earlier this month that it was almost as warm in Green Bay as it was in Florida.

The weather should be perfect for the game this weekend--high of 32, and snow showers.

Soda? That's some kind of mineral or something. Everyone knows a soft drink is properly refered to as "coke" (what kind of coke you want honey?). Durn Yankees...

You might be from Wisconsin if you thin Vince Lombardi is God and Brett Farve is his true prophet.

Oh my gosh, to my husband, Vince Lombardi IS definitely God! He grew up in Brown Deer. In fact, we're going up to Port Washington for Christmas, and I can't wait! To a Texas girl, actually (hopefully)seeing snow for Christmas is a real treat!

COLD? COLD? It was 60 degrees (F) today! That is NOT usual, however.

I was born and raisied here, and come August 15th, I PRAY for snow. It's usually so hot and humid. I think our blood runs thicker than most.

And one must know how to enjoy 9 months indoors (or learn the various outdoor sports like snow angels, face washes, and snow down your back). A roaring fire in the fireplace with the drip, drip, drip, of snow off boots in the back hallway; red rosey cheeks and hot candy canes (for those unfamiliar, it's hot chocolate with a shot of peppermint schnapps), wet dog smell and cookies baking in the oven - ah it's heaven! Let it snow let it snow let it snow!!!!!!!

"Blatz is a beer. Some fry their brats in it."

I boil my brats in beer...then I grill them (sorry, on my side of the state (God's Country) we call it grillin'.) And that's about all Blatz is good for, along with Old Milwaukee and Grain Belt.
