The real question is who gets to stop the historical clock at the exact moment it points to their specific ancestors or advocacy. The region has been continuously inhabited for over 280,000 years. The first permanent settlements predate the arrival of Abraham by over 5,000 years. In the entire history of the region the Jews have only only held primacy for about 300 or 400 years. One could argue that the Syrians (Assyrians), Iraqi's and Iranians (Babylonians), Greeks, Italians, Saudi’s, Egyptians, French (Templars), Khurds, Turks, and Brits could make as legitimate a claim as the Palestinians or Jews.

NOPE! Read the Bible again. Pilate washed his hands of the decision and left it to the crowd of “Jews” (the term Jew only applies to descendants of Judah and was never used or heard prior to) and Pagans. The Romans crucified Christ as a result of the crowds chants. You are correct in one aspect. Pilate could have stopped the murder but again he did not want to go against the crowd for fear of revolt.

New to this website, not exactly sure how the comments are supposed to work but anyways. Question. I don’t know anything about the history but am interested in this topic. So, Did Moses go through the land and kill all of the natives prior to King David founding the city? What is the biblical history, exactly? From the very, very beginning. Were Islamic-like believers occupying the land? Even though they had not yet been “labeled”.

Welcome to FR; your post was not vulgar. Our opinions differ in that I find it no stretch of the imagination to believe every clock has a clock maker, and that we are clockworks to our Creator. The challenge for me is to avoid the con artists and seek the true God. This is not so difficult when you measure religions by their actions and the fruits of their labor. And though there are shysters in every religion, some religions are nothing but shysters. On the last day there will be only one God, and so only one religion. How cool will it be to have discerned and followed that one true Creator even before meeting Him in person?
