Help the country!

The best thing you can do for the country, is to keep ALL of these socialists (republican and democrat alike) out of our wallets, and out of our lives.

I don't want government engineering the economy.

They screwed things up plenty enough already.

Speak for yourself - our family could really use the additional 2% (27%-25%) reduction next year.

If there was such a thing as an honest news media, they would say, outright, that these 18 libs were holding everything up and then go on to list their names.

The liberal media just makes it way too easy for these clowns to lie about and hide what they're doing.

If it was a tax cut alone, I wouldn't have a complaint.

so the fact that the President sent up a bill that mostly benefits the rich and corporations has nothing to do with it? Supply-side economics is a sick joke that only makes the rich richer. I don't think most of the Republicans in the Senate would want to vote for it either. They'd only vote "yes" because they knew it wasn't going to pass anyway. I agree with the person who said that they don't trust Democrats OR Republicans to get anything right.

I just tried Daschle's number (2:28 CST) and the number was busy. I guess a lot of people are trying.

Karl Marx, you old dog, where have you been?

Do you have something against people who work hard to become wealthy? Are small businessmen undeserving of a tax cut? How many poor people do you know that are hiring?

Don't fool yourself, Karl, the Pubbies would pass this bill in a second if Dasshole would bring it to the floor- which is precisely why he won't.

You CLEARLY don't understand the reality of the economic circumstances in this country and your whiny-a$$ class-baiting is truly shameful.

Just sent this to Senator Daschole's fax Thank you for confirming what an obstructionist you are. The RNC will be preparing ads shortly to let the American people know tht truth about your motives. Even the left wing liberal medial won't be able to spin you out of this one. Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly and FOX News will have a field day with this. Their market share is growing in leaps and bounds. Funny how people are attracted to the truth. It is a very sad day indeed to see you turn down a bill that the centrists in your own party helped craft that they felt would be an acceptable COMPROMISE but NOOOOOOO!The working class family line is getting old Mr. Daschle. What about small business owners like us who employ working class people who have been hurt by 9/11. We don't deserve any help? Enjoy your time as majority leader by default. The fall 2002 elections are coming. The economy will come around on it's own and GWB will be still be enjoying sky high approval ratings. Don't throw away any of that MINORITY leader memoribelia.

When is the last time a poor person gave you a job?

Duhhh! If the enterpreneurs don't get a break, they can't hire. In fact they may continue laying off more people. Supply-side has always worked...if your employer has nothing in his supply, you will get diiddly-squat in your paycheck.

You undoubdtedly must be a government employee or someone on a government had-out for they are the only ones that don't depend on someone who is weathier to sign their paycheck.

I've got some bad news for you, John F. Kennedy was a supply-sider. He gave us tax-cuts which created a strong economy, the money was then spent by the leftist dirtbag Johnson.
