A Cackling Teradactyl from a Liberal Stone Age
radio

Posted on 12/31/2001 5:57:46 AM PST by jdub

On WWTN here in Nashville TN, they were speaking with a man regarding the Middle East situation, when they came to talking about John Walker and Helen's column saying that W. should show mercy to him to prove he is a compassionate conservative. He then gave the description of her in the title. I almost had to pull off the road as its the best one I've heard yet.

Everytime W lets Helen ask a question during presscons, he is showing he is a compassionate conservative.

That's 'Pteradactyl', Greek, you know. I know, this is a radio story from memory, and I am a pedant.

You're also a nit-picker, a hair-splitter, and a sophist. But hey, it's a free country.... :)

Or is that a knit-picker, a hare-splitter, and a saphist. LOL

You know, I was just out to lunch a bit ago and it crossed my mind that I had mispelled that. I knew though that when I got back to the office someone would have corrected me. I'm not complaining, I'm one of those that usually corrects other people's spelling. However I usually do it with the really silly stuff like loose/lose or threw/through.

However I am going to blame pre-coffee posting for my error, not a lack of education.

Oops! That's PTERODACTYL, and I'm not a pedant either! Look up www.topdino.com for a look at a dino that I can relate to quite well since it carries the name of a close relative. I also took some of the pics in the site that are not attributed to me, unfortunately. C'est la vie!

How about we get some coffee and mix in some no-doze. Then we can type with the caffeine jitters and blame it on a lack of government funding for our research project?
Just who is this cackling saurian you guys are talking about anywhoos?

Well there are two actually. The one is ancient, extremely liberal, senior White House reporter Helen Thomas. The more likeable (?) one is 'a flying reptile that lived during the late Jurassic Period. It grew to 25 feet, wing-tip to wing-tip.' this is from a kid's dinosaur site: 'http://www.kidport.com/RefLib/Science/Dinosaurs/Dinosaurs.htm'. To remind you, the Jurassic was the middle of the three periods of the Age of the Dinosaurs, at the time of the Allosaurs and the Aptosaurus (formerly Brontosaurus).

You shouldn't be so hard on a sophist.
