Use signs that are clever. The media might actually show them if they are.

Use take-offs on popular commercials. Those work well. Here are some genres: the PSAs about drugs (X is my anti-Clinton, or "This is America on Clinton (followed by his legacy or an image): Any questions?"); the "Priceless" Mastercard ads; The Got Milk? ads; etc.

Remember, a picture is worth a thousand words in advertising. Your sign might be on the air for a couple of seconds, so you have to be able to get your message across quickly.
