Frankly, the efforts of the FreeRepublic are great. As hard as it is to go against the established media, FreeRepublic comes through every time. To those who whine that the interface is not convenient, get a life. If you can't learn the new interface, you probably don't have much intelligence to contribute to the forum.

I like the new look also, I think the headers would be easier for me to read if they were in BOLD RED FONT instead of blue. Other than that..... I like it

Wow...Is it my imagination, or did new -- and much better -- changes just show up? Flag down the left side is gone and fonts seem bigger ... Of course, I am on cold medicine!

I was a little shocked at first, but after a little experimentation, I found I liked it. And every few hours today JimRob tweaked it in response to comments. I also think it's Grrreeeaaat!
After hearing rumors about folks cancelling their donations (Neanderthals), I'm considering doubling my monthly!

The font is larger and in white, so I can read it!! Hats off to the Robinsons et al and I'm not going to be following the whining anymore, because I can now find my way around and see what we have here.

Nope You're seeing OK. The flag went away awhile ago, but I too noticed a few subtle changes over the past hour. I couldn't quite put my finger on it but the posts DO seem to be more readable. You're probably correct about a bigger font.
It also seems like some deliniating border lines or minor graphics are gone. Overall it's looking, and working MUCH better, including the search function.

I was annoyed about a couple of changes in the format when I logged on this morning, but I kept my mouth shut, and they have ALL been resolved as of this evening. Patience is a virtue.

Can someone help me please!....this morning I had my site all set up....my sidebar with breaking news and news activism....I got rid of state chatter on the top.
I've been gone several hours and when I returned the siderbar is on the left and everything I did this morning is gone....I can't seem to get rid of the state chatter or get my sidebar back....help!

Man, that's service! The Robinsons have always bent over backwards for the posters at this forum, which was why I was shocked to see some long-time Freepers cancelling their monthly donations. I like you struggled with the new site this morning. I left to see the Panic Room, with Jodie Foster, came back and got on FR. WOW THIS IS THE GREATEST SITE ON THE WORLD WIDE WEB. I KEEP TELLING MY HUSBAND THAT I WILL FIX DINNER....IN A MINUTE. Thank GOd he is patient too.
JRobinson, you and your team are the greatest. I love the changes and I love FR. THANK YOU.
