For a woman who lurks a lot and is a TRUE AMERICAN PATRIOT and her great lawyer, who defends America and is one of FR's own, Mr. Jame L. Buchal. Thank you more than words can say.

Good News Ping!
Somebody in the "system" got a little nervous when Barbra was getting the evidence documented
that the Klamath farmers actually own the water rights in their deed.
In late summer 2001 these bogus charges were filed to thwart her efforts.
"The case of United States v. Barbara Martin, wherein the United States attempted to silence Ms. Martin's protests at the Klamath headgates, ended with a whimper by the United States. After two trips to a settlement judge, the United States finally acknowledged that it "recognizes Mrs. Martin's right under the First Amendment to protest at a reasonable time, in a reasonable place, and in a reasonable manner."

Wonder how much the Feds paid her "to go away"?

the United States finally acknowledged that it "recognizes Mrs. Martin's right under the First Amendment to protest at a reasonable time, in a reasonable place, and in a reasonable manner." Odd, I don't recall any "reasonable" language in the First Amendment. Those kinds of weasel clauses are what qualifies an absolute right. And I don't recall appointing the government arbiter of what is and is not "reasonable."
A victory, nonetheless.

She shouldn't have had to go through such a stressful ordeal, but I'm glad there was some justice in the end.
