JUANITA BROADDRICK COULD HAVE CONTINUED TO TAKE THE EASY WAY OUT -- BUT SHE DIDN'T
DFU opinion ^ | 4-21-02 | Doug from Upland

For years, almost two decades in fact, Juanita Broaddrick lived with a burden. She tried to forget and put it behind her. As a male, I cannot imagine how horrific it must have been when a state official, one on whose campaign you were working, would violate his trust, would viciously bite you, and would rape you.

She went on with her life and actually achieved success in her business. The last thing she wanted in her life was to make the headlines and be forced to testify.

When the stories came out about a Bill Clinton rape victim, Juanita still did not want to face it. There seemed to be an easy way out. It was the route offered to several women who did not want to get involved and have their private lives become public.

The way out was an affidavit. Juanita was convinced that if she played along with what the White House wanted, she would never have to relive her pain in public. By simply signing an affidavit, a technique developed by fixer Bruce Lindsey, she could deny a sexual assault and would not have to be grilled under oath.

But the Paula Jones case went further than many expected. Juanita would be forced to testify, just as others would reluctantly have to do.

Juanita's son is an attorney and told her how serious the situation was. She had to tell the truth to the grand jury and to David Schippers' investigators.

Because there were rumors of a payoff to keep silent, Juanita did the now famous interview with Lisa Meyers. The great percentage of those who watched the interview know that Juanita was indeed viciously bitten and raped by the then attorney general of Arkansas.

Who would have known if Juanita simply continued to deny the story under oath? It could never have been proven otherwise. It could have been taking the easy way again.

But she recognized the seriousness and she told the truth. It must have seemed like a great burden had been lifted, although she had to endure an IRS audit, an attack on her character, and threats against her.

We all know that it is likely for the Clinton legacy to be the damage he did to our security. To some, of course, it will be the stained dress. But let history record that the Democratic Party, James Carville and George Stephanopoulus in particular, pulled the wool over the sheeple's eyes. A violent and psychopathic rapist actually led this nation for eight years.

And now we have the wife of the rapist, the woman who supported him and viciously attacked his victims, running for the presidency. She must be stopped.

For all you lurkers from the RAT underground and from RATS dot commie, shame on you. Although you deny it in public, you know your hero is a vicious biting rapist. You are as disgusting as is he. The really funny thing is that Al Gore should have been the sitting president and would likely have been elected in 2000. You would now have the White House if you had spoken out and taken action against your rapist.

Well said!! One of the most important things for our future is that Americans admit that supporting Bill Clinton was wrong. As long as we allow people to continue the foolish delusion that there can be some debate about Clinton's fitness for public office, we are in danger. America will only be strong again when those who defend Clinton are seen only as kooks, liars, idiots, and perverts.

I know it's just a psych disorder, but I'd add: extreme narcissism.

And very well said by you. They have to face what they did. It's difficult to have a united country when a certain percentage live in a parallel universe.

I believe Juanita, but is that boob Klayman still representing her? If so, he'll blow the appeal as surely as he lost the original case.

The really funny thing is that Al Gore should have been the sitting president and would likely have been elected in 2000. You would now have the White House if you had spoken out and taken action against your rapist.

If a sufficient number of democrats had put principle before personality, Gore would indeed have been running as the incumbent. He would have likely won--who knows?

Not very many democrats have sufficient principle, however. Hence the Bush presidency. What goes around, comes around.

A lesson available to the democrat perty is to get principled; a lesson which will go unlearned, due to their fundamental moral shortcomings, individually and as a group.

An absolutely great analysis. Anything goes with the RATS. We can't be judgmental. That is how we get Marion Barry, Ted Kennedy, Mel Reynolds, Alcee Hastings, etc.

Amen, amen, amen!

doug, I want to thank you for not letting go of this. A woman once very dear to me was raped many years ago, and I know as well as any man can know such things, how it "killed the person she used to be...."

It was bad enough that any America could vote for Clinton-Gore, but to re-elect the Clinton-Gore & Hillary team AGAIN is absolutely SHAMEFUL!

For 8 years we had a nation that thought wrong was right and black was white. No one has ever polarized this nation like Sinkmaster and Satan's Daughter.
