I saw a fender-bender in the Wal-Mart parking lot this afternoon.
Young kid backed out of his parking spot without looking where he was going and smacked into a shopping cart.

I read several years ago that the unions cut such a deal with Amtrak that it could never be a money making endeavor. There has been some talk of shutting it down because of the money it loses. Part of the union contract, as I read it, said that any union member laid off would receive 6 years salary as severence pay. Could that have anything to do with all these accidents, trying to force a shutdown and layoffs and a 6 year lumpsum settlement?
