The 9/11 Issue? The Democrats Must Think You're Stupid -- Well?
Toogood Reports ^ | May 20, 2002 | Paul E. Scates

Posted on 05/20/2002 6:51:05 AM PDT by Stand Watch Listen

OK, that´s enough. I will herein put an inglorious and unceremonious end to this drivel about ‘What did Bush know before 9/11, and when did he know it?´ It will not be a revelation, but an observation; not a bang, but a whimper…and it should make all you who have jumped on this bit of self-serving skullduggery thoroughly ashamed of yourselves…though of course it won´t, since you have no shame.

This feeding frenzy over President Bush´s supposed prior knowledge of the WTC and Pentagon attacks is simply the result of the Democrats inability to find a real issue on which to base their Congressional election campaigns this fall…and especially for the 2004 presidential campaign.

The Democrats, lead by Terry McAuliffe (By the way, just when you think Bill Clinton is the lowest form of life on the planet, the Democrats manage to find one even lower; makes you shudder to think what they have waiting in the wings, doesn´t it?) and aided by their fellow travelers in the media are hyping this idiotic trial balloon like it´s the discovery of the Watergate tapes. The economic recession upon which they had counted so heavily is waning, they know they can´t attack the war on terror (supported too heavily by the American people), and Bush´s proclaimed faith also seems to play well with the electorate…what´s a Democrat to do?

How about recycle an irresponsible and maniacal bit of stupidity from one of your minority minions, which makes it safe from an all-out assault and rebuttal from the right…right? Ah, not so…for I´m not running for office nor do I plan to, so I can point out the plain, unvarnished and disgusting truth without fear or favor, and worry not one whit about reprisals. Here is the end to this disgusting spectacle—

Will someone in the press, or someone in the CIA, please dig out and then present to the American public the number of times this same ‘smoking gun´ briefing about Al Qaeda´s interest in hijacking airliners was presented to former President Bill Clinton? Then will the Democratic Party members, hacks, and supporters—including the absolutely no-depth-too-deep so-called journalists in the national broadcast and print media—go wash your mouths out with soap and then…kindly shut to hell up!

A while back, when Democrat Congresswoman (what in the civilized world can the people of Georgia be thinking?) Cynthia McKinney first uttered this libelous bit of idiocy, most of the networks and major newspapers wouldn´t run with it, so scurrilous and self-serving…and so incredibly loathsome…was it. But in the hands of their leader, Mr. McAuliffe, it has become the holy grail, the key to disarming the ticking bomb of Bush´s high approval ratings. Just goes to show you the depths politicians will sink to for the sake of their positions and power.

Tom Daschle, McAuliffe´s Senate clone, says he´s ‘concerned´ about what Bush knew, blah, blah, blah. But he wasn´t concerned that Clinton failed to respond to the murders of our servicemen in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia. He wasn´t concerned that Clinton didn´t do jack about the bombings of our embassies in Africa. And he didn´t seem too awfully concerned about Clinton ´s failure to act against Al Qaeda when one of their cohorts tried to blow up the WTC the first time (a couple of cruise missiles into the desert sand is not a response that takes the federal government´s major responsibility, that of national defense, seriously).

And the ever-present Richard Gephardt did his best Howard Baker impression, reciting the now-famous questions about the extent and timing of the president´s knowledge. (In fact, all these characters seem to be ever-present, do they not? Just how long will we, the American people, tolerate this same group of elite dilettantes—Kennedy, Daschle, Gephardt, Lott, Specter, and on and on—in the House and Senate?)

As Jonah Goldberg has written…and re-written, bless him…McKinney is an idiot. She is the one with little enough consideration for her position to beg the Saudi prince for that money that Mayor Rudy Guiliani rejected, because it came with his opinion that our foreign policy had caused the 9/11 attacks. She is a quasi-Marxist (if she could spell communist, she´d be one of those, too), a fledgling race-baiter on the pattern of Al Sharpton, and ‘one of those blacks´ (oh, have at me, all you racialist demagogues) who sees only white evil as the source of black problems, rather than irresponsibility and lack of initiative to take advantage of the school programs, scholarships and quota-driven opportunities available to them.

And the Democrats have chosen this insidious bit of desperate, mindless and hate-filled rhetoric—to which she admitted no knowledge or evidence after her infamous radio pronouncement—as their campaign theme? This, then, is the quality of their judgment, and of their character. Might not that judgment be more-than-a-little dangerous in positions that determine U.S. policy, especially in the presidency, and especially during a war against those even more determined to destroy this nation than McKinney?

This is the ‘party of the people´? OK, but those people just called from that planet they are on, and they want all you Democrats to come back home, now…because it´s time for your medication.

After defending Clinton's shenanigans (rape, perjury, obstruction, kidnapping) for eight years, I thought Democrats would be ashamed to display moral outrage. Alas, they have no shame.

This article is an incredibly accurate assessment of the democrats' desperation. I just wish Mr. Scates had mentioned McKinney's House floor rendition of "I know where Chandra Levy is" also know as "I had a dream, too".

Always remember that nearly 50% of "the people" never even vote and often tune out the political climate. However, when our biased/leftist Media causes some uproar these otherwise apathetic Americans can split the mood of our country. Just the thing the DemoRats need to "snake" around an election year.df

BTW, did you know that the "spellcheck" suggests either "dumurest" or "demerits" for the word DemoRATS. Think I'll just keep it as DemoRATS.

Let these fools go on digging this dry-hole. Only the most rabid tin-foil-hat types could possibly believe that the FBI, CIA, NSA, NSC, and the President knew that Al Qaeda was so close to pulling the 9/11 attack and did nothing about it. Even if they did know how far along the terrorists were, the White House only had about four weeks to deal with this. The only way they could have done anything, with the information that they had, would have required the previously mentioned agencies to profile the terrorists, partially based on their race or nation of origin, and the dems so that is a big no-no, even post 9/11, let alone pre 9/11.

If they want to dig into something, we would be better served if they spent their energy in trying to disclose who made the massive trades in "put" options and short-sales of American and United Airlines as well as many other companies who were directly affected by the 9/11 attacks. Sure, there weren't billions of dollars made on those trasactions, but the trading volume was and the timing of it was more than questionable. There is a definite (electronic) paper trail to follow and every media outlet has fled from that story like they would flee from a turd in a swimming pool.

Yeah. And it looks as if their shining star Johnny Edwards not only knows nothing, he supects nothing (regarding what he knew or was supposed to know about 9-11).

It is true, that the Democrats are just trying to win, because they know that Bush is still wildly popular due to his patriotic leadership of this country and his war on terrorism. The Democrats are terrified of losing the Senate, even though they stole it.

They know with Bush's popularity and a Republican mandated Senate, that Bush would become un-beat-able in 2004. Who is so worried about being President in 2004 that they would master-mind a manipulative assult like this against a well-loved President during a time of war?

I thought Leno had a good one, to paraphrase: Blaming the whole 9-11 thing on Bush just isn't right. Hey he didn't even know the pretzel was going to attack!

Your reply is an excellent analysis of the recent rat attack on GW.

It is time that we take their attack and turn it back on them 24/7. Soon we will be up on the anniversary of 9/11. That day of mass murder of innocent Americans thanks to the Rats previous non handling of OBL, and the deballing of our intell and FBI must be used to defeat the Rats in November.

If we defeat large groups of incumbent Rats in Congress and gain a clear mathematical leadership of both houses, the rats are finished. Then, in 2003 the New Congress can start working for Americans in repealing Rat legislation, enviro actions which help the Opecker Princes and other issues. We will see a tidal wave of positive changes for our side and a cleansing one that will remove a lot of Rat stains on America.

MAKE THE USA/WORLD SAFER FOR al QAEDA TERRORISTS!

ELECT MORE DEMONICRATS LIKE DA$$HOLE, McKINNEY, ____________* TO CONGRESS IN 2002!

*_____________ Fill in the blank with your local Rat congressit/senator who hates America 24/7!

Excellent point - I had forgotten all about these trades. The democrats calling for a full investigation will simply uncover, for the terrorists, how we gather intelligence. These loose-lipped liberals will leak these leads - it's a given. (Watched a show on Discovery last night about the Nightstalker's serial killings in CA. They mentioned that Sen. Feinstein leaked the few facts withheld from the media, allowing Rameriez the opportunity to alter his m.o.)
