Can't remember which Hutchinson, Tim or his brother Asa, is the honorable, actually conservative one and which one dumped his wife for younger arm candy.

He needed to begin immediately after his inaguration with putting the Klintoons on trial. It's been & will continue downhill from that. Everyone of those dems in the justice dept that Bubba put in immediately after his reign should have been gone. Instead same old Washingtonian crapola. Same old "Two-Party Cartel".

For example, the White House analysis of campaigns for the Senate, where Democrats hold a one-vote margin, shows that there is a "strong chance" that two Republican incumbents, Tim Hutchinson of Arkansas and Bob Smith of New Hampshire, will lose to Democrats, a direr assessment than Republican officials have stated publicly.

We've been told that this entire left-wing tilt by Mr. Bush was to enhance the Republican party in the '02 election. Now we learn we're going to lose, not gain seats in the Senate? Looks like the country clubbers have done it to the party again.

If you think Bush was left-wing this last cycle, wait till you see the leftist legislation he'll sign when the House is also democratically controlled.

Just like his old man.

Sounds like the briefing book that found it's way to the Democrats in the 2001 election right before the debates.

The same thought occurred to me. That was the work of a traitor, but it should have been anticipated since the firm she worked for appears to have been run by Democrats. Bush was too trusting that their professionalism and integrity would outweigh their political ties.

There has to be an intern joke here, but I can't put it together.

How about "at least Clinton's interns never spilled the beans on Pennsylvania Avenue."

I'd say the disk was stolen or sold rather than "dropped". Unless they mean this as one would mean the term money "drop" or drug "drop".

In addition, it says, President Bush needs to "grow" his outreach to Latinos, suburban women, Roman Catholics and union members, but only "improve" his outreach to African-Americans, a group that was alienated during the 2000 election recount in Florida, where some blacks believe there was an organized Republican campaign to disenfranchise them.

I wonder how it is one determines that "improving" one's outreach to group A is not as good as "growing" one's outreach to group B. ... Especially when one writes for the impartial, objective Newspaper of Record.

Email from FReeper buddy in Bentonville, AR says Tim Hutchinson is the brother who dumped his wife of 27 years for his much younger staff member when their affair was revealed. He believes there is nothing accidental in D.C., that the allegedly "lost" disk is GOP's way of dumping Tim without saying so. You have any info?

And IF the GOP loses control of the House and a few more seats in the Senate watch for the RINOs to blame conservatives for not showing up in large numbers on election day. It WON’T be their fault course for adopting a decidedly liberal agenda and supporting the continuance of our insane open border immigration polices in a time when America is under the constant threat of terrorism. No, it will be the fault of those nasty conservatives that aren't willing to bend all the way to their foolish plans to co-opt every leftist issue from the democrats on the laughable assumption that voters that normally vote democratic will throw some of their votes the GOP’s way.

Let's all consider the source here as well. This did appear in the (shudder) NY Slimes...

And ME, you're a braver man than I, Gunga Din, for going there...

Purposely left where it was for a pick up.

And who takes an unknown disk and puts it into their computer? It's just like picking up an unknown person and taking them home. You don't know what diseases you may be picking up! This scenario is utter nonsense!

Of course, if it were left there on purpose, the disk would be anything but unknown.

an intern who apparently dropped a computer disk containing a confidential analysis of the coming 2002 elections in Lafayette Park. The disk was then picked up by an enterprising Democratic Senate staff member

Oh, COME ON!!! This is classic "spook" technique: the "dead drop." Your double agent leaves or "drops" an item containing important information in a predetermined spot in a place that is public but with "private space," classically a park, and another agent retrieves the item later. The whole point is avoid having the two agents seen together exchanging info. This incident practically screams that there's a DNC "plant" in the White House staff. Get rid of the traitor, and fast!

Where did you pick up on that interpretation? The presentations make no mention of addressing what incumbent Democrats have a "strong chance" of being defeated. That doesn't mean there aren't any! All it's saying is that there are a couple of Republicans who have a strong chance of losing -- one who probably won't even get his party's nomination, and another who's ahead in a close race right now. Neither is a surprise to anyone who's paying any attention. What would you rather they do? Bury their heads in the sand and pretend these races aren't close?

Unless the WH staffer walks to a mic and ADMITS he/she toke such a disk to a park and "dropped" it, I don't believe a word. Evil Dums are very capable of "creating" their own disinformation.

Damn straight. The socialist wing of the Republican party, led by George "Amnesty" Bush Jr., is leading the nation into a left-wing spiral from which she will not be able to recover. And you are correct when you speculate that the socialist in the party will just blame the conservative wing.

You got it! It's a drop and a DNC created hit piece in the Slimes. All intended to a) make the Bush administration look bad. b) deflect attention away from their own unlawful activities. and c) expose the Republican election theory.

If they were only interested in the theory itself- to use for their own means, then they wouldn't have exposed it in this manner. No, they want much more and they're desperate enough for power to try anything.

More tactics of illegality and desperate power grabs are sure to come between now and November. But, why not? The election of 2000 showed the RATS one thing. They can do ANYTHING and the Republicans will let them get away with it. Indeed, the worse that will happen to them is a fine with the FEC.
