It is impossible to be ALL things to ALL people unless "principle" becomes perposely and ambiguously vague.
All due respect, but He that guides me asks me to turn the other cheek and to love my enemy. Now, I do struggle a great deal in this area and there've been countless days that I'd agreed with what you said, but not if I care to fulfill your part of the contract for which He died. Your answer, I hope is deeper than what you've written here. I turst it is...
Meanwhile, the NY Times isn't telling the American people what the Democrats in the Senate did last week.... Father's Day week, while we're at war...Daschle brought to the floor "Hate Crimes" legislation (where Kennedy called the isolated and universally condemned attacks on James Byrd and Matthew Shepherd "domestic terrorism"), CEDAW (the "women=men and the UN can enforce it" law signed by Jimmy Carter in the 70s and laughed at as too outrageous by sane folks 'til this Dem. Senate), refused to repeal the estate tax (keeping family businesses in the government's pocket), and refused to ban cloning (as we stand for morality on the world stage in this war).
"God, family and country" has been replaced by "Me, myself and I," under Daschle's divisive and selfish leadership. While our brave troops risk their lives, Daschle and co. work to destroy our President, while risking nothing...unaccountable to no one, as the NY Times and co. will ensure.
The dems will think this is there "in". LOL they R desparate idiots
So because the other side engages in illegal activities, you are advocating that we do the same? How exactly is breaking the law in order to win an election a conservative ideal? Do you have any principles, or is it just all about winning? I could have sworn that was one of the chief complaints made against the left.
By your plan, we should just forget about conducting fair and honest elections in this country. We should just turn it into a massive cheat-fest, where whoever cheats best wins. Is that really a goal you want to work towards? One in which we're basically destroying democracy?
And you say we should "use any means necessary to win". Are there any limits to that whatsoever? Would you advocate assassinating formidable liberal candidates? Might you justify burning down polling places in urban areas on election morning? Just curious as to how far you're willing to go here with the illegal activities.
BTW, I'm not saying we should just sit back and be Mr. Nice Guy. I'm all for playing hardball when it's needed. But I'm not prepared to stoop down to their level by purposefully breaking the law. Instead, we should work towards exposing their illegal practices, and putting a stop to them.
