What Nation Will This Be?
Personal Observations ^ | July 7, 2002 | Patrick B. Briley

Posted on 07/07/2002 10:39:14 PM PDT by OKCSubmariner

If you turn your back on My precepts and commandments

If you thrive on perjury and taking of bribes

If you do not protect your own men, women and children and cause them to become widows, widowers and orphans

If you murder children in their mother’s womb

If you steal wages and pensions and stocks from your workers

If you murder the reputations of My righteous men

If you extol unnatural affection between men and between women

If you divide Jerusalem and My Holy places for a price of betrayal among those who worship the God of Forces

If you do not honor Me in your public places and with your children

I will cause your leaders to become fools having knowledge but no wisdom

I will cause you to dwell carelessly without defense

I will cause your weakest enemies to prevail against you

I will raise up a base leader who will take away your freedoms

I will raise up an even more evil nation to conquer you

Your nation will be no more.

TOPICS: Your Opinion/Questions
KEYWORDS:
The Founding Fathers of America believed that God would judge a wayward nation on earth even though its inhabitants would be judged in the after life.

For this reason, the Founding Fathers were inspired and led to write the Constitution in a way designed to make it more difficult for America to become wayward and be removed from earth by God.

Unfortunately, the Constitution in itself has not yet protected America from a decline in morality among its leaders and from its judges who do not uphold but undermine the Constitution.

The themes in this editorial are taken from my reading of verses in the Bible about what God will do about a nation that dies Spiritually and turns away from God.

America is at risk.

We should all pray for America and our leaders and work hard to keep America as a Godly nation so that the fate of America will not become that of a nation described in my editorial.

"Those who labor to build our nation America (this house) without God, labor in vain." Our Founding Fathers knew these words well. We should take these words as seriously now as the Founding Fathers took them at the Constitutional convention to preserve our nation.

Good morning, Pat, rdavis84, Fred Mertz

In truth, the Founding Fathers did all they could. You can't make something "foolproof" because fools are just so darned ingenuous. Our country's been run by ingenuous fools in congress for so long that they've managed to chip away at all the protections written into the Constitution. The Constitution as written and the Constitution as currently interpreted are two entirely different documents.

As if that weren't bad enough, all the ingenuous fools running the media promote those causes that corrode our freedoms. To the media, only the 1st Amendment is sacrosanct, and they lack respect even for that one unless it applies to their own handiwork.

Finally, the ingenuous fools that allow themselves to be influenced by a corrupt media continually elect corrupt leaders. The "general public" is too lazy to do their own research, and blindly accept media reports as truth and evidence--and often, even here on Free Republic, will quote them as though from on High.

Count the corrupted systems--wait, no, it would be far quicker to count those that are uncorrupted. Let's see. There's....

um...

er....

uhhh....

Never mind.

I so agree with you, Fred. Let us pray that God in His infinite mercy will linger with us a little longer.

Fighting for this country is a personal issue because it affects US...and our families. By removing God from not only our government, but also for some of us...from our everyday lives...our spirituality as a nation is corrupted..people know more about rock stars and hollywood! We take more seriously passing out condoms in schools than to teach the importance of our spirituality, being politically involved, to know and understand our government ..

in reverse order. God does not cause things to happen when people behave poorly and do not change, or try to.

Consequences occur when we decide to behave irrationally.

If we expect to find the truth through lies, we will fail. (eg. Klinton and the dems). If we expect to find heaven on earth while denying personal responsibility, we will fail. (eg. pro state advocates).

We create our consequences, either metaphysically, or otherwise.

Own it.

I have an conservative atheist sparring/debate buddy who claims that he nurtures his spirituality....not sure now he does it...

The govt was founded upon the argument that govt should not promote one religion over another..but it was "OK" to speak about God. Does that negate the feelings of Atheists? Of course not...it just says you don't have to belong a religion..this govt will not force you to.

On a side note: I'm of the firm believe that God doesn't cause bad things to happen. He is our role model for parenting though. There are times when we mere humans have to suffer the consequences for our stupidity. I think our country has made way too many mistakes..starting with dumbing down the education system...and now we are paying for our stupid mistakes.

Agreed.  Isn't it sad to see a nation fall?  The above reads like the promises of blessing or cursing of Deuteronomy Ch. 28.  America is the cursing stage.  It is a long chapter but important to read as many Christians have been deceived into turning Grace into an Excuse or thinking that there are no consequences for actions or they are going to fly away before the Tribulation starts.  It has started, they are still here and they did err, not knowing the scriptures.

>>I will raise up an even more evil nation to conquer you

Here is the Word on just this one line from above.

De 28:49 The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;
50 A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:
51 And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.

Henry Gruver referred to the above scripture in his 1995 video entitled, "The Coming Russian Invasion of America," which was based on the visions the Lord gave him and his contact with U.S. military leaders afterward.  He said that the Lord told him that when the U.S. next sends massive troops to the Middle East leaving America's borders unguarded, Russia and China will attack.  That is consistent with Dimitri Duduman's vision of a bear attacking an unarmed man and this:

>>I will cause you to dwell carelessly without defense

 Dimitru Duduman ~ (1982-97)
Henry Gruver, I saw Russians Attack the USA

You certainly do have a right to no religion, I agree with you 100%. I also agree that you can be a patriot as an atheist as well.
I trust you also agree that those of us who do believe there is a God have the same right to do so as you have not to?
