Logical thinking, obviously, is not a strength possessed by the liberals...better be careful in accepting this appraisal. If the left wasn't logical how could it have captured all levels of the education system, the inner cities, the blue collar unions, the hollywood types, and the newly immigrated legal or not? The spokespersons for the left may not be able to win a college debate but they are doing something that allows them to capture enough of the electorate to be at least slightly more than even in the senate and almost even in the house. Public faces of the left in the media may not be able to compete and win with Ann in a logical confrontation but this inadequacy doesn't prevent the left from having enough power to play the right to better than a virtual draw by achieveing their objectives incrementally. Is the government smaller than it was 12 years ago? The right has had control of at least 2 of the 3 powers of the government (president, house, senate) that can shape the course of the country and what have they done? The farm bill? The federalized airport security? Those on the left have some skill in getting what they want and that means there is a logic to what they are doing.

Yeah, they know that the masses will vote for them if they lie often enough and loudly enough, and by promising to give whatever group they are talking to a cut of the action. We all know in here that the average voter has neither the time nor the IQ to actually evaluate the political BS that flies around an election. All they hear is "If I'm elected I'll do ____ for YOU!!". And they actually believe it. They forget the thousands of times the ba$tards have lied. They actually think the 'Rats give a $hit about their daily lives (because they try to run our daily lives).

The sooner the right figures out what it is and how it can do the same thing for its agenda the sooner we'll be better off. I don't think it is as simple as that. I have seen surveys where taxpayers were willing to continue at current rates if they were assured that the debt would be paid down. I have also seen other surveys that indicate that taxpayers are willing to pay for services. What we ought to be looking at are things like tax loopholes and the farm bill. Whatever the voters think they are voting for themselves is hardly a drop in the bucket when compared to all of the corporate welfare, farm bills, and tax loopholes which are not items for which voters cast ballots.

Last year, when the people of CA were being urged to conserve power due to the power crisis there, Streisand publicly advocated that people air-dry their washed laundry rather than dry it in the dryer.

Slander [Ann Coulter Book Review]

It is not so surprising, really,  that the mainstream media, without fail, attacks Republicans and other conservatives as "evil," rich," "homophobic," or "just not getting it,"  and consistently praises the most pathetically inept and/or corrupt Democrats as "fighting for the little people", or perhaps as "the most intelligent woman in the world".  Many of the liberal media stars are former Democratic party workers, or were on the staffs of Democratic politicians. Several pages of the book are required for a partial list of them.  Liberals insist that disclosing these political ties to the public is not necessary, since their reporting and commentary is always "fair" and "balanced!" 

Having a lock on the mainstream media means the liberals never have to question their devotion to what is, in most respects, a religion -- socialism, which is a two-class system of government comprised of superior, elite (rich) rulers and grateful, adoring (not rich) servants.  Since they refuse serious debate and are frequently successful in silencing conservative voices, liberals don't think anyone will (or should) notice when their arrogance finally  becomes news. After all, they are rich not because they worked for their wealth, but simply because they are "good" and deserve not only the finest life has to offer but they also deserve not to have contact with the unwashed poor or that hated, soon-hopefully-to-be-taxed-out-of-existence middle-class who aspire to life's amenities and pleasures themselves. 

Early this year, Coulter tells us, David Geffen, Barbra Streisand, Steven Spielberg, and other of the  fabulously rich Hollywood elites, erected  illegal chain link fences to keep normal citizens from using public beaches that happened to be next to the liberals' beachfront homes.  "The California Coastal Commission was forced to intervene to demand that the Hollywood  left stop blocking access to the beach."  Like their favorite, though impeached, president, the left considers themselves above the law. 

Despite the liberal media's years of propaganda and role-modeling for us on television and in the movies, drumming into the minds and hearts of America the image of the left as the true reflection of America -- intellectually, culturally and politically --  not many of our citizens buy into it. Slivers of the East and West coasts, enclaves in Florida, dependent government  bureaucrats, and fearfully deceived minority members, are all they can count on. America's interest in liberal newspapers and television programs continues a downward spiral. The reason for that is that Americans are generally a hard-headed, can-do, practical, sometimes religious people who have the sense to recognize that when someone lies to you a lot,  probably they want something from you they have no right to possess.

You failed to note the left's most meaningful single accomplishment -- and their most powerful weapon against conservatives: control of the mainstream media, both nationally and locally.

Were it not for the emergence of talk radio and the internet, we would be voiceless. And voiceless, we are, each of us, alone and surrounded in what seems a sea of liberalism.

GHWB couldn't get re-elected without both of these new media. The Republican Congressional Revolution of '94 would not have happened without talk radio. And GWB would not have been elected without both talk radio and the internet working in his favor.

The left probably wishes earnestly that Algore had never invented the internet...

Your points about the importance of talk radio and the internet to give conservatives any 'voice' at all is damning to the liberals, because they clearly are incapable and terrified of honest debate and so must SILENCE conservatives if they are to get the power they crave.

The liberals know very well that their goals are nothing any sane American would want....otherwise they would welcome debate at every opportunity. Instead they shout us down, name-call, and terrorize with political correctness (which by the way is a term that came into popular use first by the Bolsheviks in Russia!).
