I Need HTML help with my Free Republic Profile

I have been trying to "update" my profile in Free Republic this morning.

Now, when I click "ok" it puts all the HTML with NO pictures on my BOOKMARK page.

The follow errors is what I need help with because I do not understand what FR is trying to tell me:

HTML Error Summary

HTML Error Summary
Count	Tag	Attribute	Error	Correction
6	P	STYLE	invalid attribute	remove attribute
The above errors must be corrected before your HTML will be accepted. Try selecting the "HTML - Auto Corrected" option from the Format menu.

I need to know what Count - Tag - Error and Correction means. And what does Attribute mean?????

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me. I am stumped.

I didn't have any of this problem the first time I did it.

For instance:

I use html all the time.  Never have any problems.

It still looks like you need to do the <IMG SRC="http://www.hostfile.com/home/darlene/tweety2.jpg">   thing that rdb3, Cyber Liberty, and sciencediet mentioned.

If you will redo your picture links with the above formula and remove the one space between the < and Img ..then they should all work. It will produce the following.......

It's telling you that the stuff that it thinks you're putting after the <P> tag isn't supposed to be there (the <P> tag isn't supposed to have any attributes). Try putting a space before and after each <P> tag, and make your picture links look like what I and others posted above. It's probably trying to create the picture links automatically but is getting confused.

Hurray for me! I just snuck one of She Lions pic and actually posted it!!! I'm such a lightweight, I thought I'd never, ever get it figured out.....I may have recreated myself as a monster...all these new vistas!

SheLion - you only have one problem - it has been repeated six times. Check your HTML for that 'P' attribute aka tag and see what is up with that.

She has failed to include the HTML formula for a picture/gif..... she didn't include the < img src= before the url of each picture. Thus the < P> [paragraph command] is being picked up and that is where the P attribute is coming from...

She knows how to post a picture if you'll look at the dancing gif she just posted. It uses the correct formula

Ok, I went back to basics, and put the original HTML that I had in there. Still doesn't work. So, I copied and pasted the SAME HTML in here. As you see, it works. ~sigh

Whatever.... I copied your links to my profile page and hit okay and they worked.... so I have no clue unless you aren't hitting okay assuming you have the correct link and formula included. Right now the image formula isn't correct according to the source code from your profile page...... Good luck

I put the HTML code it there. It didn't work. So, I did it by hand, and when I hit OK it took me back to my bookmark page with just the HTML showing.

Which is why you probably see it as incorrect. I was frustrated, and was trying anyting, so probably made a lot of errors.

So, I went back and put the "correct html" in there, however, the above (way up at the top) error message popped up, and I can not hit OK until I correct it. That is why I turned to the Freepers to help me. I don't know. Must be a glitch in the system............. :(
