It's not peace making, but it is peace keeping, and no one ever hears of it, but the UN does patrol and enforce a no-man's land border between Israel and Egypt in the Negev desert, and men from various countries are stationed there.
A few years back, I ran into a couple of soldiers who came into Cairo on R&R, and that's the only way I found out about it.

Kofi, there's this saying that goes "Lead, follow, or get out of the way". Now we know you are incapable of leading anything, so get in line with the rest of the International grunts and get on the winning side before this shit starts. Stand in the way, yer only gonna get tank tracks all over your back.

The United States does not have to take orders from jihadist fellow travelers like Kofi Anus.

The United States should not go it alone in the war on terrorism, said U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan in his speech before the U.N. General Assembly on Thursday. "Terrorism can be defeated only if all nations unite against it," Annan said.
Fine Kofi. You may go to Iraq with us, but stay out of the way and try not to get hurt.
