From the 84 WHAS newsroom...
(Louisville, KY) -- Governor Patton is facing some explosive allegations...he's finding himself at the center of a sex scandal. WHAS 11 TV broke the story Tuesday night, reporting that Tina Conner, a businesswoman and nursing home operator out of Western Kentucky (Clinton), says she had a 2-year affair with the Governor. The allegations go even further though. Conner says that when she tried to break off that relationship, the governor tried to shut down her nursing home. The state found numerous violations at Birchtree Healthcare during an inspection last year. Birchtree has since filed for bankruptcy. Connor goes even further to say she fears for her safety. She tells WHAS 11's Mark Hebert that she believes Governor Patton would, indeed, order a hit on her. Governor Patton says he is "shocked and horrified" by the allegations. He says he died not have sexual relations with Conner. He says the accusations are "acts of desperation" from a nursing home operator whose facility is facing bankruptcy. Conner says Governor Patton first approached her following a political fundraiser for Tom Barlow in 1997. She says a 2-year affair followed. She says she and the governor met several times for encounters at a Louisville hotel on Hurstbourne Lane...always at 7am and sometimes staying as long as five hours. She says the State Police officers working security for the governor would wait outside the hotel. Conner is also a member of the Kentucky State Lottery Board. She was appointed to the board in 2000. Conner says Patton was trying to get her to Louisville more in hopes of more sexual encounters.

"I want to thank you for all that you've done for Bill"
(Hillary Clinton to Juanita Broaddrick, as she shook hands with her)

Is this the daughter of the late liberal KY Governor Bert T. Combs of eastern KY?
To: CreekerFreeper
This is the grandson of "Happy" Chandler. It's interesting that TX never had the offspring of "Pappy" O'Daniel run for office, but KY still has Chandlers running. Will this Chandler challenge Henry for the Democrat gubernatorial nomination? Wouldn't he be "too conservative" to win in a primary?

Merely an office holder in America 2002 A.D. However, always remember kiddies you are paying this trash and the resulting trash acts.p
This type of conduct will grow and people do not have the spiritual strength to stop it. (By spiritual I do not mean the 'Old Time Religion.)

"clintonesque"
Cool LOL. It looks like Clinton finally found his legacy- as a perjorative in the dictionary.
Now contrast Clinton's contribution to the lexicon with Reagan's: Reaganesque.
Clintonesque: Sleazy; oily; usually sex related; synonymous for lying politician; dishonest.
Reaganesque: Positive; charismatic; a city on a hill; optimistic; cheerful; leadership.

Yes, married to an even more liberal Jewish lawyer.

Yes, the grandson. As a Republican, I would prefer him or Steve Nunn on the Republican side to that milquetoast Ernie Fletcher who is McConnell' (McFraud's) lacky boy that the Marlowe Cooke Establishment from Louisville is pushing. If Republicans want to capture the Guv's house, they'd better vote for Nunn or Chandler will win going away.

Politics must be particularly dirty in Kentucky....Welcome to "the biggest understatement of the day." Elections used to be won by handing out whiskey in front of the polling place. Like not too long ago either. OPH--what the hell happened? I leave the state and it all goes to hell! BTW---------the governor is a coal mine owner that purchased the office and Henry is complete SLIME and if he gets elected it will be a bad day for kentucky.

Is Steve Nunn a son of Louie? I had always thought Fletcher was a decisive figure, not in the "shy" category, but I have not lived in KY since 1988. I know that Marlow W. Cook opposed Louie Nunn in the 1967 primary, then Cook won the senatorial election in 1968, only to be humbled by "Howling" Wendell Ford in 1974. When McConnell was first elected in 1984, Cook opposed him, supporting Walter Huddleston, his Democrat colleague in 1973-74. So, how would Cook still have any influence in the KY GOP?

"Elections used to be won by handing out whiskey in front of the polling place."
What do you mean used to? BAWHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA.
LOL

Steve is Louie's son. The Marlow Cook influence, i.e. the liberal Louisville influence, elitist influence, now backs McConnell. McConnell is setting the GOP in KY up for a huge fall if he doesn't watch it.
He's a freak and a joke, as far as I'm concerned. He's 'married' to Elaine Chao. There are no KY Values at work there. No share bed. No share last name. Yet, he calls himself a champion of Conservatism.
He's a limp-wristed loser in my opinion and many others as well.
