It is truly stunning that such a mental midget could still gather a crowd.

Luckily the biggest decision in Al Gore's day is which earth tone polo to wear.

I posted this on the AP thread on Algore's speech:

I heard that clip about Jesse James and the need to form a posse. I immediately thought about the movie "High Noon", where all the potential posse members chicken out leaving the marshal (Gary Cooper) to face the outlaws alone, against the wishes of his new bride (Grace Kelly?). A first class morality play about how a community (or nation) gets what it deserves when individuals doesn't stand up for good in the face of evil. Very much applicable to today's international geo-political situation.

Jesse James was killed by a lone gunman in a "pre-emptive" strike.

Just like the first time, he'll help us to (re)elect Bush president. Thank you, Mr. Gore!

I hope so. We can't depend on Nader to pull our chestnuts outta de fire again.

Thanks Al. Your opinion on the subject matters as much to me as those of Hubert Humphrey, Al Smith, and William Jennings Bryan.

(Three other dead DemocRATS, in case you were wondering).

Amen!

And thank you God for letting Pat Buchanan confuse all those Palm Beach voters.

"If you are going after Jesse James you ought to organize the posse first,"

They had 8 years to organize the posse, but chose to organize the pu$$y.

A typically dumb Gore initiative.

If the U.S. wins the Iraq war with low casualties, he looks like an idiot.

If the U.S. wins the war with high casualties, he's forced to state how he would have done it better. Based on what? The few months he spent in Vietnam as a Elvis-type celebrity private in public affairs?

If the war is a military disaster, he would have to deal with the mess.

If he succeeds in preventing a U.S. attack, he would have to deal with Iraqi nuclear weapons, and quite likely, Iraqi attacks.

Gore: Bush's dream opponent in 2004.

But Gore isn't running for anything. He can say anything he wants and with this speech, he will be branded courageous and heroic by the press. They will be praising Gore up and down for not bowing to public opinion--for standing on principle--blah, blah. That's why he's out there now

The funny thing tonight was how really little coverage was given to this dimwit on the news shows. I love it-even the liberals don't care what he has to say.

Gore's comments will be irrelevant by the 2004 election

Pretty irrelevant now. This is just a roll of the dice so he thinks he will have a 50/50 chance of being able to say "I told you so" in a campaign. No amount of "alpha male" and no cardigan sweaters are going ressurect this disingenuous prig.

If I remember correctly Saddam burned the oil fields and it took an American to put out the fires.
