I am so tired of self deluding pundits mouthing the same cliched rhetoric, and repeating the same inanities about how is is "unprecedented that America strike first!" That train has left the station, to use another well worn cliche. Perhaps someday they will get "it", that this is a new and extremely dangerous kind of war that has been declared on us. A kind of war that they have failed to prepare us for, but which we cannot afford to waste any more time in taking up arms to fight. More empty headed drivel will not protect our nation or our people.

The truth is, the media have it exactly upside down. Far from struggling to link Saddam to 9/11 and the subsequent anthrax threats, the administration is working overtime to postpone the day when the penny drops and people finally twig what a pickle Saddam has put us in. Far from Iraq being a distraction from the War on Terror, the "War on Terror" was invented as a delaying tactic, to postpone dealing with the *real * war, the war that has been ongoing since 1991 -- the war with Saddam Hussein.

The Iraq v Kuwait/U.S. war began in 1991. Iraq was spared defeat because we listened to the U.N. The war immediately restarted as soon as Iraq fired on one of our planes in a hostile matter over the no-fly zone. Because the American people became too apathetic and self-centered, they allowed a man who "loathed the military" to become Commander-in-Chief. That meant eight years of humilation at the hands of Saddam. Its time to WIN this war definitivly, by defeating and removing the enemy leaders from a position of power. Then and only then can we say we won the Gulf war.

More empty headed drivel will not protect our nation or our people.

More insults and still not facts - no concrete linkage between Hussein and 9/11.

I, a conserviate and historically a hawk, remain unconvinced and unimpressed.

This bears repeating...

We are also finding out the connection; through arms, logistics and intelligence, that China and North Korea have with the Al Quaeda and these terrorist states.

It's long past time we BAN all trade with China.
