Could be true, but did one of the planned phases include getting their base in Afghanistan blown up, their financial records and those of their doners subjected to an anal exam, Georgia women watching their every move, all their phones tapped and voiceprinted by the CIA, the next target country lined up in our sights, Israel getting their names and photos from the buildings they knock down in the west bank, Israel re-activating its hit squad, and so forth?????

I give this story no credence. The vast majority of the Taliban were uneducated hicks who were about as privy to the inner workings of Al Queda as more Americans are about the inner workings of the top level at NSA. Lindh ran around with the Taliban, not Al Queda. These guys didn't discuss Bin Laden over dinner; they discussed whose hand to cut off next and how crappy their coffee was lately.
