You hit the nail on the head, they are government employees not LEO's. Their reply to your question would be "not in my job description".

He probably got away through some nearby residential area like Lake Barcroft while all of the main roads were swarming with police.

Also that bloodhounds picked up scent 4-5 miles from scene...speculating that perp may have been on foot and gone to meet a ride...

If confirmed, too bad they didn't use SR copters with IR equipment.

And Rita C. reporting that at the last gas station shooting there's video that shows what may be 2 vehicles rendezvousing--getting gassed up, then moving on--they think the drivers(more than one--now we know!) met to scope out the site first.

Just heard a snipet on Fox - anyone confirm following: Rita said sources told her police have video from last night and video frm a previous shooting last week. Video from last week showed two vehicles meeting up at a gas station - the two vehicles were a white box truck and a white or cream colored Astro van.

Somebody said on a thread last night that there are a lot of Iranians in the neighborhood. Which makes it interesting that the sniper(s) has/have still not hit a Moslem target.

Not to debunk the Islamic terrorist theory, but striking in an area with a large concentration of middle eastern types, and a large mosque, just may be a little too obvious. OTOH, it could just be arrogance (which this animal(s) seems to have in abundance).

The perp is clearly watching news coverage and seems to carefully plan the next move.

Personally I think he's feeding off the media. Ever notice how he doesn't kill on the weekends? Typically, people don't pay much attention to the news on the weekends so killing on the weekend would diminish his media coverage.

As for last night's shooting, it's pretty evident that he was gunning for primetime TV. I'd bet money that he was trying to get the Big 3 networks to interupt their primetime schedule to cover his vile handiwork.

One more thing....does anybody know if Maryland, Virginia or D.C. has the death penalty? If not, Foxnews is reporting that last nights victim was an FBI agent. I'd imagine that he could be tried in federal court for the murder of her. I'd sure like this creep to be taken alive and then gassed at a later date. I want him to live so those affected family members can look him in the eye and let him have it.

Rita Cosby on Fox repeorting that the latest victim worked for the FBI and that survellaince tapes at the Manassass site could show a rendevous with a white box truck and a white minivan.

Ms. Cosby also reporting that the shooter may have ran away after the shooting while the van he jumped out of sped away.

It took the police 15 minutes to set up roadblocks.

If that is true, the roadblocks are useless and are being done to put on a show for the public. In 15 minutes the sniper will be in a 10X larger area outside the bounds of where the cops are looking. If true, that's just astoundingly bad.

I think the shooter moved it up by 12 hours, considering the darkness advantageous AND changed his plans to INSIDE the beltway.

It suggests a possible change (loss or gain) of a decision maker.

Confirm. Heard the same on FOX from Rita. Bloodhounds traced a scent all the way to the beltway. Video from a Manasass gas station shows white box truck, light colored van gassing up prior to earlier shooting.

Where does this guy live?!? This may be one possibility!

Here are tracks from shooting in Manassas which was done late at night to the shootings last night. Both late night shootings. Sniper was probably not traveling far from home but had to go out to make a quick point. Just like #10.

I believe the sniper lives right in the middle of both of these late night shootings.

This is only my own personal Geographic Profile of the sniper combined with other information I have posted in the past.

We will see.
