The Yugoslavs wore those concentric ring "target" shirts while we were bombing them a couple years ago. Saw it on the news a LOT.

I actually thought that was a REALLY cool thing to do.

Very defiant and appropriate.

That is a good question, but probably not as many as you think

No, I was thinking there would have been very few because the children would have been taught from the cradle to respect the guns...and probably taught how to hunt and shoot early on. Also, the family homes were so small the guns and children were most likely always supervised. Pioneer kids also probably didn't have friends over to show off for or have that much free time in the first place.

Shooting accidents nearly always happen when children and guns are not under direct supervision.

I've always thought a greater danger of having a gun in the house would be the kids telling others about the gun and having some thug break in just to steal the gun. While I don't own a gun right now, I believe they have a place in the home, especially during these uncertain times. I keep thinking about the vulnerability of an unarmed populace in wartime.

I apologize for the @ss comment but I can't believe you would accuse me of laughing at the tragedy behind this.

When all the kill Osama web sites came out did you tell them they should not laugh at the killing of 1000's of lives?

I like it. How about

"Dear Mr. Sniperman, WE are your Alha!"

"Your Snipers are not safe, Anywhere!"

"There maybe 72 of them, but they ain't virgins" With image of a conga line leading into a prison shower.

"Not Terrorized, Just Pissed Off!"

"Jihad this" with black image of an M-60 or M-16A2 with M203.

Thank you for the advice, nevergore. I told my husband that we won't get a gun until I know the weapon inside and out and can take it apart and put it back together blindfolded! (Mr. Snowy says he can do that with most military weapons, and if you can do this, it would be a good thing). Then, my kids will learn the same. There is a local firing range that has family memberships I am looking in to. I guess I would then want a license to carry...

I've got one better:

Dear Sniper,
Sorry about your penis.
Size really doesn't matter. ; )
Sincerely,
Citizens of DC Metro

You know, I've often wondered how many pioneer children shot themselves or their friends while playing with their daddy's rifle or pistol.

The gene pool was much cleaner then.

Look, it's like this. You asked for opinions and I told you what I thought. Sorry if I offended you, but I'm a little on the edge today for reasons in additions to the sniper.

I appreciate people wanting to do stuff and quite frankly I'd like to see this s.o.b. drawn and quartered on Pay-Per-View. The other day I was accused of being cynical because I thought it was a goofy idea to send the children of Virginia candy and cards because we'll have to cancel Halloween.

There's a shop here that has printed "Virginia is for Snipers" t-shirts. Like yours, I think those shirts are in bad taste.

My office is about two blocks from MCV where the Ashland victim is. I could run into his family on the street.

I can't imagine what it would do to them if I were wearing a "Snipe This" t-shirt.

This is not a guns rights debate!

You're right, I'm sorry. I don't think your idea is a good one. For some reason, I think that if your county is getting bombed, then a shirt like this would be a good idea, because the bombs can not be 'aimed' at one person. If you wear one of these shirts in front of the sniper, you are just asking for it. The first person with one of these shirts to get hit would instantly make the remaining shirts dust rags.

I like it . To make people aware you are doing it in defiance why not put something like this on your shirt : In respectful rememberance of our country men and women who were slain we say : Snipe this.

If this guy has you in his crosshairs, which is probably several minutes before he actually shoots someone, you think he would pick you because of the shirt? This seems as likely as being the one to get shot by the sniper.

I absolutely think he would pick someone wearing the shirt. From what the police have indicated, this guy has an ego. If you are standing next to someone not wearing the shirt, you really don't think you would be the one he would aim at?

REALLY cool thing to do

OK, it's cool for you, but I'll admit that I just don't have the balls to do that.
Defying high altitude bombers in this way is different from defying a sniper. This guy is taking news reports and LEO statements as a challenge. He would see this defiant shirt as a challenge and place one dead center.

If it had a middle finger pointing out at the sniper they may chuckle. I don't know, I would hate to speculate their tragedy. I know these shirts are (mostly) in bad taste due to the things you would have to put in the crosshairs to tell the sniper to f -off. This was more of a way for some to vent their fears and anger at this sick jerk out there with a God Complex. I do not make T-shirts.

Group hugs and handwringing is worse than distasteful, it's pathetic. You have our sympathy, but we will all be the targets soon enough. Be an American, be defient, and stop whining. I work in a big fat target, my wife has been a target, deal with it.

We really are all in this togather.

Makes me almost want to go back there, just to vote for him.

Considering all the unfettered voter fraud that goes on in this country, you probably could just by staying over a long weekend.

No one challenge "The Sniper"! We need to coddle him so he doesn't shoot us!

Sounds like a similarity to how we used to not intervene in plane hijackings. Now, you would have trouble jumping over the seats to get your hands on them due to a mob of angry Americans standing up and saying "You will NOT make us hide in fear!"

If nationwide sniping attacks happened, You would see everyone wear these shirts while carrying a sidearm ready to take this punk out.
