Not to worry. This debate is only taking place in Aaron Sorkin's crack fantasy world of "The West Wing." The Republican candidate is made to seem a slow-witted dolt and President Bartlet is giving him the verbal beating that Sorkin says that Gore should (but didn't) give to Bush. BTW, I think the guy playing the Republican dolt is Mr. Barbara Streisand.
TOPICS: Political Humor/Cartoons
KEYWORDS: aaronsorkin; jebbartlet; westwing
Anybody else watching this? Maybe Sorkin should just go all the way and have his PRETEND Republican just drool all over himself.

Yeah. My favorite was the "Can we have it back?" line. As if the money belonged to the Federal government to give to Florida as a gift. Too bad Mr. Streisand did not come back and say "Sure, as long as you will give it back to the American taxpayers that it originally came from. After all, it wasn't yours in the first place."
But I guess the writer was too high on crack to think of that.

NEWSFLASH:
Bill McBride Counts to Five
Florida gubernatorial candidate
Bill McBride (D-Litigation)
shocked onlookers today when he
successfully counted to five.
McBride accomplished the feat
on a dare from Governor Jebediah Bush (R-Denile).
A relieved McBride told reporters
that he could have gone to 10,
but he didn't want to remove his shoes and socks.

I can't believe that you are wasting your time watching such crap. The socialists of the world would be proud. I have better things to do than watch anything that is on network television.

I can't believe that you are wasting your time watching such crap.I can't believe that he'd do a thread title to make us believe this was real. I'm a little angry that I was tricked into clicking on this thread.

Sorkin and his mushroom addled writer buddies are SO ANGRY with Bush's popularity that they are pumping out more strident TV crap in order to sway the most under-informed voters in US history. Ratings dropping? I'm shocked!

Just kidding... but seriously, how can you stand to watch "The Left Fling"? I enjoy watching the side-effects of crack addiction.

I just waited 2 mins to timeout for a phony headline? What gives?
To: PJ-Comix
I'll wait until I have a story to post, but in today's debate in a tighter-than-expected race (IN-07), Progressive Caucus member Julia Carson walked out in the middle of the debate, complaining about "negative" ads ("I don't feel comfortable," blah, blah, blah). The ad in question shows her face, and says that she paid her own taxes late TEN times, voted against Bush on Iraq, and for tax increases. That's it. It did not mention her drug-dealing grandson, or any of a host of other shady issues that surround her. Let's hope this is another Dem implosion (not that it will matter in urban Indy).

"a slow-witted dolt"
And it's almost as if Mr. Streisand-Brolin isn't acting at all!
