I voted early this year and so glad I did. My pet, illogical theory is that there are ten people out there pretty much like myself. If I don't vote, then it's very likely they won't either. But if I DO vote, those ten will, too, and probably vote the same way I do. (Cuz we think alike, too. Get it?)

Illogical, I know, but it's one of the strongest self-motivators I've been able to develop.

So, if you vote, ten people will get up, somewhere, and VOTE WITH YOU!

The airplay has been thick all day. Latham is safe.

Where RATs are involved, no candidate is safe! I don't care if the lead is in the double-digits. You have to fight like you're 3 points behind at all times to beat these guys.

And this just in - Indiana 7th District in play

(snip)

With four days left, Julia Carson, the democratic incumbent, is no longer riding comfortably in the driver's seat. According to a new Eyewitness News - Indianapolis Star poll, Carson leads McVey by one percentage point. Carson has 43%, McVey with 42% and Libertarian Andrew Horning holds five percent.

Forty-six percent of likely voters in our poll have a favorable opinion of Carson, 38% unfavorable.

As for McVey, 38% have a favorable opinion of him with 18% unfavorable.

Carson, who did a radio interview Friday, is still upset about negative ads in the campaign. It's the reason she walked out of last Wednesday's debate.

This would be more interesting if they could at least get the candidates' names and districts right:

HOUSE SNAPSHOT: IOWA

* Desperate Iowa GOP House incumbents -- and Senate candidate Greg Ganske -- need the "Bush Bounce," so the White House political operation sending the President to Cedar Rapids on Monday.

* The redistricted and thus newly embattled GOP Rep. Jim Leach is now in the 1st Congressional District. He appears to be scratching and clawing his way to a lead, but House operatives remain worried. New internal GOP polling shows Leach ahead of Democrat challenger John Norris 52% to 40%.

Actually, Leach is now in the 2nd district, and his challenger is named Julie Thomas.

* GOP Rep. Jim Nussle in the 2nd Congressional district is also in a brutal battle against TK. But Nussle now seem to be closing the sale with voters. He's up 54% to 46%.

Nussle is in the 1st District.

* Christian conservative GOP state representative Steve King is strong to pick up a newly created Congressional seat in southeastern Iowa.

King is running in western Iowa.

I recommend using DNA technology to test each absentee ballot. Match each absentee ballot to an actual voter, kind of like matching luggage to each passenger. If there's no match, where's the trash?

That's why the dems always say "Let every vote count." They don't care about the voter one wit but, they care a whole lot about stuffing the ballot box. Let every vote count - including fake ballots. (That's the true last half of that sentence.)

I know that turnout will be the key. Rats are better at getting out the vote. They bus them in from old folks homes, the skid row areas etc. They pay for votes. We seriously have to vote in huge numbers to overcome the fraud. Encourage every conservative you know to vote!

Moreover, the alleged internals which had Mondale surging on the night before the service were never released.

When internal polls show candidates dramatically losing ground they typically don't release them, which only makes sense.

The democraps must be held accountable for that despicable display of partisanship. How rude! I like the way Gov. Ventura handled it. Gave 'em hell, and rightly so. I was shocked! Glad they didn't get away with it. It got so bad, I shut off the TV. Made me sick. Did Trent Lott ever make a statement? Go, GOP!!! For victory & freedom!!!

No....the massive backlash is that the first poll was two..then starting on Monday, the internal poll showed him up 7. After Tuesday night's event, it shifted dramatically down 7 points.
