12% in 55 to 44 Dole. Looks they're not going to need me and my wifes votes. They turned us away from our old precint because we moved. I'll be sure to be ready next time.

This is a critical state for us. A Dole loss will be big for Klinton and the rats.. Thumbs down for toilet boy Bowels. The media keeps hinting at a Dole loss. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

WBT had Zogby on the air and he was predicting a Bowles upset due to heavy minority turn out.

That doesnt make sense how would a heavy minority turnout help Dole?

Whether the media's hinting or hoping is hard to say.
All I know for sure is that I voted for Dole.

Where do you get 12% in? The current website shows only 2% in and Lizzie hanging on by less than 1,000.

Right now with 11% reporting Dole is up by 30,000 votes. 55%-44%.

When you look at the Congressional races that are reporting as of the same time period it is interesting to note that so far there have been 3,000 more votes cast for Democrats so far. So this seems to not just be a Republican areas that the reults are in from.

I am terrified of this race, but these numbers are slightly positive. Better than being down by 30,000 votes

from National Review:

GOOD SPIN FROM N.C. [Rich Lowry]
Positive spin from a Dole aide: "It's looking good. We're up in Wake County, which Helms never won, with about 90% reporting. We also got a good jump in early voting and absentees."

Did they check ID?

You are kidding, right? :)
I couldn't force my ID or my Voter Registration Card on the poll workers checking in voters in my precinct . All they wanted to know was my name and address. Scary, huh?
