I can’t believe it. We were so close to getting him. All we had to was beat Jeb in Florida and pick up one or two Senate seats and some Governors. We could have played it as a huge defeat for Bush.
I worked so hard. I flew all over the place night and day. I gave up all this money from speeches and everything. All for nothing. The problem was we had such bad candidates. I had nothing to work with at all.
McBride. He had to be the worst candidate I ever saw in my life. How could you not prepare for a debate? Even if you don’t know how much an education program is going to cost when it the entire centerpiece of your campaign, you can always just make up a number. Nobody is going to remember it anyway. What an idiot! Russert screwed us. He is nothing but a big fat turd. He wants to be the host of the next Presidential debate so he wants to look objective. I will never let that happen. Hillary is not going on Meet the Press again either. I would rather have her go on with Georgie Girl than with Russert.
Kennedy Townsend. The first Kennedy ever to lose an election and in Maryland of all places. Why did that idiot Al go in there and talk about the 2000 election?
At least Granholm won. She is beautiful. I have got to get to know her better. Maybe I can schedule more speeches in Michigan.
Everything came apart after that stupid Memorial Service. I should never have let Terry talk me into that one. Things were just set up to get out of control. How we supposed to know that the Wellstone kid would just go crazy? He wasn’t supposed to do that!
Look at George W. on Time Magazine smiling. Where are we going to get money from now?
