Rosie O'Donnell's partner, Kelli Carpenter, has baby girl

Saturday November 30, 2002

NEW YORK (AP) Rosie O'Donnell's girlfriend has given birth to a baby girl.

Kelli Carpenter, the comedian and former talk show host's longtime partner, gave birth to Vivienne Rose O'Donnell Friday at an undisclosed New York hospital, O'Donnell spokeswoman Cindi Berger said Saturday.

``Mothers and baby are just great,'' Berger said.

The baby weighed 6 pounds, 6 ounces and is 19 inches long, Berger said.

Carpenter and O'Donnell named the baby Vivienne after the main character in the book ``Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood,'' and Rose after O'Donnell's mother, Roseanne, Berger said. Rosie O'Donnell is also named after her mother.

O'Donnell has adopted three children Parker, 7; Chelsea, 5; and Blake, 3. This is 35-year-old Carpenter's first child. Berger would not say if O'Donnell was formally adopting Vivienne Rose.

O'Donnell ended her syndicated talk show in May, and four months later left Rosie magazine, saying the publishers had stripped her of editorial control. Publishers Gruner + Jahr and O'Donnell are suing each other over the magazine's demise.

How sad for this newborn little girl to be born into a live surrounded by perversion without a hope for being part of a normal family. Our prayers should go with this innocent.

Oh don't cry too much. She'll probably grow up to be another Ani DiFranco.

"The mothers..." "Vivienne... Divine Secrets of the Yaya Sisterhood"
So sad, so empty, so futile.

Rosie Shows Off Her Sassy New Look!

August 21, 2002

ETonline

ET's MARIA MENOUNOS was on fashion alert last week at the New York premiere of the Broadway play Hairspray. And who was there with a newly cropped 'do of her own? The newly transformed ROSIE O'DONNELL, minus her signature, shoulder-length mane!

Rosie told Maria one of the reasons she decided to trim her hair was because she no longer had stylists hanging around! "When you don't have a hairdresser, and you have to do your own at home, this is a lot easier!"

She also cracked that her new, more manageable cut was "an ode to HELEN TERRY, BOY GEORGE's backup singer in the 1980's!"

The former talk-show queen and fan of reality shows like "Survivor" spent part of her summer on a cruise to Alaska, so she missed out on the latest TV batch, like "American Idol" and "The Anna Nicole Show." Rosie admitted, however, that she would watch a second installment of "Idol" when it came back around!

She isn't the only star whose gone shorter -- MANDY MOORE has been sporting a cute short cut, as is SELMA BLAIR. SARAH JESSICA PARKER traded her long locks for a stylish bob, and JENNIFER LOPEZ has opted for a shoulder-length look as well recently.

LOL! No Rosie, it's because YOU ARE A DYKE and you now want to be even more "in your face" about it. At least be honest, lesbo.

What an intellectual. Not only will her kids be screwd up beyond belief, they will be dumb as doorknobs, as well.
