What? You want me to defend Carter's Presidency? All I'm saying is that he's in a good position to do some good in the Middle East now. How is he in a good position? Just 8 years ago he made a deal which involved trusting NORTH KOREA not to develop nuclear weapons and was completely, horribly incorrect in the use of judgement. That was actually a better deal long-term for the N. Koreans. I hardly see how the shortsightedness of Kim Jong-il can be blamed on Carter. Carter TRUSTED Kim! That's the thing! He has no sense of judgement that is worth any kind of respect. Of course that was a good deal for NK. "Hey guys, they want to build nuclear reactors for us if we promise not to develop nuclear weapons...I know, let's do it behind their backs and save some money!"

Jimmy wants to try and mediate with Hezbollah and Hamas!

Yes, so does President Bush through intermediaries in Syria and Iran.

You can't mediate with terrorists!

The IRA will tell you differently.

The terrorists don't want peace!!!

Debateable.

The terrorists want to terrorize!!!!

Yes, but ask yourself why they terrorize and what is the most efficient way to deal with the problem.

You won't stop terrorists unless you KILL THEM DEAD IN THEIR TRACKS.

That's one way, but you can't kill every angry young man in the Arab world. Eventually you must make peace and that's where mediation comes in.

This is like a little kid who hits a homerun on a video game and then wants a shot at playing in the majors cause "he can do it."

What a pathetic fool.

For the only thing that Jimmy Carter hasn’t failed at is sucking. When it comes to sucking, Jimmy Carter has no equal.

,As Homer Simpson would put it, "I've seen President's suck before, but Jimmy Carter was the suckiest suck that ever sucked."

You rentire post is complete rubbish. There is no peace to negotiate. Only a war for Israel to win. By putting his sorry nose where it don't belong, Carter would only to serve to help the Islamo-fascists. Who the hell's side are you on? I know whose side Carter is on-the liberal loser anti-american American.

We all know Carter is full of crap, he's desperate to re-write history where he is known as the worst fiscal and foreign policy President of all time.

I can see it now.

Carter: Hamas and Hezbollah, what do you want?

H&H: We want the complete destruction of Isreal?

Carter: Isreal, is that acceptable to you?

"In other words, they should give Jimmah an impossible task which he will probably fail at...

No need to set the bar too high. Jimmah failed at lots of possible tasks, too.

You can't debate with someone who refuses to change the premise of the debate. The entire goal of Terrorists is to destroy Israel, and that ain't gonna change!!!!!

I wonder how Hamas would react to our Jewish celebrities going over to "Mediate" the situation in the Middle East?

When is this turkey going to quit trying to push himself back into the news? He had his 15 minutes of fame. There oughta be a law against presidents resurrecting themselves (and that goes especially for Bubba!). He was a failure as a president and he has no business trying to inject himself into the Israel situation.

Carter TRUSTED Kim! That's the thing! He has no sense of judgement that is worth any kind of respect. Of course that was a good deal for NK.

First off, Carter probably didn't trust Kim any further than he could throw him. But Carter understands the art of the deal. You give someone something valuable, you get something valuable in return. At some point "Trust but Verify" breaks down and you just have to hope that the other guy understands his best interest.

"Hey guys, they want to build nuclear reactors for us if we promise not to develop nuclear weapons...I know, let's do it behind their backs and save some money!"

Have you read the treaty? Or are you just going on what you've heard?

Hey Peanuts, you've already been given the Nobel "Peace Prize" you've been gunning for for the last twenty years. Now please go the hell away before you cause even more damage than you already have.
