The dramatic die-off of 33,000 salmon last fall along the Klamath River in Northern California was directly caused by the Bush administration's decision to pump extra water from the river to farmers, biologists from the California Department of Fish and Game have concluded.

Wow. Like this conclusion was a surprise coming from those people. Dupes.

How much water are they going to need for more development, and where?

It is a shame such much good fish went to waste. There are children starving in China you know.

Humans have rights. Fish don't. We eat them for dinner. They're just meat.
Instead of wasting time fighting over water, why didn't we catch them and feed them to the poor rather than bitching about it while they die?
Now THAT was a waste of the Earths resorses.

Funny, I never heard anything about the impact on our beloved fish when Al Gore had a dam opened just so he could float a canoe for a campaign picture.

Is this an example of prejudice against catfish? Where's the "Catfish Defamation League" or the "Southern Catfish Defense Fund" when you need 'em?

Well, apparently the water was used to grow crops, probably to feed people.

Additionally, where is the evidence?

Too bad that river is government controlled (I'm guessing). I'm sure someone could manage the transport of it's water and fishing rights all while making a profit.

Well, that was probably supported by the "Save the Vermin Advocacy Group,(STVAG) " or "Save the opposum league (STPL)", or smething "really cool" like that.

There are thousands of sguare miles of drainage below the last dam and many major tributaries that feed the lower Klamath. Lets remember that a lot of that water was withheld for the infamous "Sucker Fish"in Upper Klamath Lake. If there is a problem it is with the water diverted from the Trinity which at one time exceded 80% of the flows.

There is a local angle in tne Times-Standard of Eureka.

Indians used dead fish as garden fertalizer. The farmers made out "big time," and it's environmentally friendly! LOL.

"Decades ago, the federal government gave land and water to World War I and II veterans."

The Dupes or Dopes that did this "Study" think fish are more important than feeding people !

The environmental disaster

Hmmmm. So what would this left wing wacko group say about the pro-death left wing wacko group throwing millions of human infants into garbage bags? Some dead, some still alive?
