That's for sure. My position is that the deficit is not as bad as pictured. We are up 24% in tax receipts from four years ago. They just want more $$$$$. I say we pay our way and march on Sacramento.

I know that Californians pay more Federal tax than California receives in Federal spending in the state. On balance, that is probably true for most states, since the Feds spend money on building bases in Qatar, on embassies in Africa, etc.

Californians should demand more pork barrel spending in their state, I suppose.
