In a little more than a week, the Iraq crisis will come to a head. On Jan. 27, U.N. weapons inspectors will deliver what is likely to be an inconclusive report on their progress so far in Iraq, and the president then will have to decide his endgame: whether to send the more than 150,000 U.S. troops in the region to topple Saddam Hussein, or accede to the demands of many nations that he give the inspectors more time.

Loved your comments. Matter of fact, I sent the url for this article to others to illustrate the power of the web to critique the liberal claptrap that disguises itself as news today. It's no longer a one way channel. Great job!

And then there's the global war the United States is waging against terrorism,

They don't get it.

The removal of Saddam is the "global war against terrorism."

The White House will never say it, but removing Saddam is the means to destablize the entire Middle East and thus to destabilize the Islamist support networks in Saudi, Iran, and Pakistan, and by extension in Lebanon, Syria, and Egypt.

Only complete idiots (such as those in Washington yesterday) would fail to see the larger strategy being employed against Islamist terrorism, and the leverage provided by Saddam's destruction.

Someone is Washington is employing very sophisticated systems-thinking and wargaming in the battle against Islamism. Strangely, only Middle Eastern commentators seem to "get it," while our Western "news analysts" are completely befuddled in their simplistic assessments.

Good job with your blue comments!

I wonder how much blood money the writers like this POS writer and the publishers are getting from Uncle Soddomite to post this Bravo Sierra.

A voice against the war on terror is a voice for terror!

As Iran and North Korea accelerate their nuclear programs for fear of being next on the hit list, we may yet find that Iraq will be the last "cakewalk" invasion for US forces for a long time.

True, but the lesson of Iraq will not be lost on Iran. Long before those guys get their nuclear program together, the people will throw off the yoke of islamic fundamentalism. (Watch and see if I am right.)

Don't forget while this is happening he is going to be torn apart by the Democreeps running for president. I was watching them this morning and they are attacking him left and right - they want the tax cut repealed and also some sort of universal healthcare. BUT they are a bit confused as to what they will do if we go to war - they will be leary of bashing Bush EXCEPT John Kerry who acts like he is the only person in the word who ever served in Vietnam and is something special (BARF!).

I go down to Speaker's Corner I'm thunderstruck
They got free speech, tourists, police and trucks
Two men say they're Jesus one of them must be wrong
There's a protest singer singing a protest song - he says
they wanna have a war so they can keep us on our knees
They wanna have a war so they can keep their factories
They wanna have a war to stop us buying Japanese
They wanna have a war to stop Industrial Disease
They're pointing out the enemy to keep you deaf and blind
They wanna sap you energy incarcerate your mind
They give you Rule Britannia, gassy beer, page three
Two weeks in Espana and Sunday striptease
Meanwhile the first Jesus says 'I'd cure it soon
Abolish Monday mornings and Friday afternoons'
The other one's out on hunger strike he's dying be degrees
How come Jesus gets Industrial Disease

Very good, spot on comments. Keep it up. Well done.

It seems the the author of this article, HOWARD half-WITT either does not have a clue as to what is going on, or is deliberately writing propaganda for the enemy. I am more and more coming to the conclusion that these people are deliberate enemies, not just stupid.

The land forces are too small.

This is not a knock on Bush, in fact, most of the blame is Clinton's.

However, a determined adversary (say, China) who could coordinate attacks all over the world could cause us major problems.

No doubt about it.

Former Secretary of State Warren Christopher wrote recently that "in foreign affairs, Washington is chronically unable to deal with more than one crisis at a time."

I think he was thinking of HIS days in Washington.

is/was.

Third rate leftist Say It And It's So! 'white magic'.

White magic doesn't work, but the appearance that it does can be maintained when a traitor sits in the Oval Office.

clinton did what he could to make these leftist screeds come to life when he was in office... (At least on those occasions when he wasn't staring at the back of some whore's head bobbing up and down in his lap.)

The adults are in charge now... We're talking Jizz-Free carpets and sinks in the White House Howie my man!

Time to switch to screeching, effeminate personal attacks and transparent slanders, boy. The 'white magic', and your illusion of being in the decision-making loop has done played itself out.

If Bush faces three wars, history will record he proved up to the challenge.

He has good genes. He will prevail.

If the need ever arises to use the new ABM system and it works, history will reward Ronald Reagan handomely as a visionary when he first proposed the "star wars" plan in 1983.

Generally regarded as the most influencial president in the last half of the 20th century, I predict that Reagan's legacy will rise to the stature of Lincoln, Jefferson and Washington before the ink in history books of the 21st century is dry!!
