Thanks. I just voted on this. We all know that SF Gate is also the SF Comical, a Leftist rag that thinks Willie Brown is too conservative, the taxpayers should pay to have sex change operations, and Nancy Pelosi should be nominated for Saint Hood.

Here is the tally so far, based on 287 votes:

U.N. Security Council -- has global standing : 38% (Castro district coming in strong)

European allies -- similar history, values: 2% (Geary Street voters are still at the Pubs.)

Arab countries -- understand Iraq, share risk: 3% (Limo and cab drivers are still at work.)

U.S. advisors -- America is world leader: 57% -

I kind of figured as much. But I checked out their recent polls and the response to the question about whether the Legislature should receive cuts (including pay cuts) to help balance the budget got a 93% yes vote.

The President, according to the Constitution - by the law of the land and his oath of office, is required - as his first duty - to defend this nation from enemies both foreign and domestic.

Telling our President that he should go to an un-American body, no matter the size, a world that does not put America first - is asking him to break the law, weaken our defenses and to betray his country and all who fought and died to make this the greatest nation on God's green earth.
