Bill O'Reilly Sept 11 Mistake?

Posted on 01/27/2003 8:40:36 PM PST by ConservativeMan55

I was just watching Bill O'Reilly arguing with one of these "Not in our name" activists. Bill was saying that it is offensive to compare the victims of 911 to those who died in Iraq during the Gulf War. The 'Not in our name' activists compared 911 to the Gulf War, and Vietnam.

The activist responded by saying that he had signatures from heroes on Sept 11. O'Reilly asked who, and the guy said

"Well look here Jeremy Glick signed the petition" said the activist.

Then O'Reilly says not once but several times..."Well if this Jeremy Glick guy signed it we are going to have to get him on"

"Were going to find this Jeremy Glick guy and get him on the program" says O'Reilly again.
Excuse me, didn't Jeremy Glick die on Sept 11, on Flight 93????

Well, yes he did. So Bill caught the guy in an outright fib.

Probably Hillary got him to sign the petition. After all, she talks to Eleanor Roosevelt.

Jeremy Glick

Jeremy Glick, 31 of West Milford, N.J., was flying on business for a sales and marketing company, and managed to telephone his wife, Lyz, after terrorists took over, said his uncle Tom Crowley. Glick's wife conferenced the call to a 911 dispatcher, who told Glick about attacks in New York, which had taken place earlier. Glick's sister, Jennifer, said her brother and some other passengers stormed the hijackers and apparently got into the cockpit. The University of Rochester graduate was a national collegiate judo champion. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Emerson; his parents; three brothers, and two sisters.

I'm not sure why O'Reilly didn't recognize his name. I sure did!
Somebody's gotta e-mail O'Reilly or get another look at the show. It should rerun itself again tonight.

If I'm not mistaken, they were talking about Glick's father.

I think.

The Part about realizing Jeremy Glick died was my commentary.
O'Reilly never took note of what he said.

What is Jeremy Glick's father's name? I never heard them say father or family. All I heard was Jeremy Glick a hero on Sept 11 signed our petition.

I have it TiVO'ed, he absolutely positively said it.

I can't believe these commies are spitting on the graves of 9/11 victims...

On second thought, yes I can. I'm sure the irony of using Jeremy Glick's name in a campaign called "Not in My Name" was entirely lost of these crass b@st@rds.

Tomorrow's Factor is going to be VERY interesting.
