Frankly, I could care less what a sales tax may or may not do for government, I am more interested in the advantages and increase in freedom and privacy for the individual and as a more appropriate tax for a Constitutional Republic in the visibility of the retail sales tax which encourages accountability of government to the electorate:

So, you have a big house, an "imported" car, a boat, a plane, and a place in Aspen. Good for you. Without children, you will just die a lonely, selfish old man, wondering where he went wrong. Anecdotal. For every mean old codger with a Porsche in the garage I can show a dysfunctional family where the kids hate the parents or vice versa.
Being single, old & rich doesn't mean you can't be saved.

Sure, we might have to pay higher taxes but hey we can watch tv while sitting on the sofa in our underwear and we can throw our soda cans on the floor without anyone yelling at us. LOL! So it ain't all bad!
