About 150 backers of President Bush's policy toward Iraq gathered in the gray, slushy cold near the Washington Monument yesterday to express support for U.S. military forces gathering in the Persian Gulf and to urge the prompt ouster of Saddam Hussein.

The rally was organized by the D.C. Chapter of Free Republic, a conservative group that also called for the impeachment of President Bill Clinton in 1998. It also led "Get Out of Cheney's House" protests, aimed at Al Gore,... LOL!
Those "Get Out of Cheney's House" protests are so famous they are now a proper name!
Kudos to the D.C. Chapter!

I was there. Uncomfortable, with the slush on the ground chilling my feet, but Mary and I wouldn't have missed it.
Although I didn't make a headcount, it seemed to me that there were more people there than at the Patriots' Rally last April.
