Can't we have one of these on a day and at a time that working people can attend?

I would hope so. Like on a Saturday. THis one was organized by some law students, and I think it's to send a message to other students as well as showing the troops that the majority of Americans, including students, are supporting them.

I just heard about this on the radio this a.m. I will try and ask the organizers (if I can figure out who they are) if they would think about planning a Saturday event. More people would come, I think. Maybe at University Mall in front of the military memorial park there.
