You changed the title, which did not contain the word "banned," so it is an open question as to whether these weapons come under the category of banned WMD.

Iraqi arsenal of banned weapons discovered British troops outside Basra have discovered cruise missiles and warheads hidden inside fortified bunkers as part of a massive arsenal abandoned by Saddam Hussein's disintegrating southern army. Thanks Saber. I've been watching the news for about 1 hour now, and I haven't heard a word about this. Have you?
To: Tommyjo
Yep. The title was changed by the poster. That is inexcusable.

You changed the title, No. It was cut and pasted. Maybe they changed the title later?
AND, because of the dates on the weapons, they're in breach of sanctions.

The networks need to lurk here more often.

OK. The subheadline is now that cruise missiles were found. Well, I wish that site would quit moving around so fast. I almost got in trouble!

Yes lets pull it becaused the poster is obviously up to not good. I mean there could not posibly be another explanation. The politicaly incorrect media would never change the title of an article after they posted it.(Sacasim)

I've clicked on both your links, and cruised around the SMH site, and didn't see this article.
To: =Intervention=
BTW... Why would you want the only thread on the subject to be pulled. If you were so sure then why not ask for the title to be changed. It makes me wonder if you rather the information in the article not be widely available.

...outstanding post... getting more info here than on Paula Zahn...
FR is the best single source of information on the war. I watch 3-4 channels on TV...and then I come here for confirmation and commentary. Not to mention that I get a lot of breaking news here first.

The missiles in crates with Cyrillic writing were dated 2002. The British supplies were dated 1980 for a Iranian contract. Notice how the report excerpts posted here are parsed. IMO some of the reports are being reported in such a way as to provide cover for those that have been providing the Iraqi government since sanctions went in place.

Msnbc just said the military contradicted a report out of Jerusalem, and that no chemical or other banned weapons have yet been found.
