BASRA, Iraq (CNN) -- U.S. and British forces have captured two Iraqi generals and killed a Republican Guard officer in separate incidents, coalition officials said.

One of the generals, taken by U.S. forces in western Iraq, led his captors to a cache of weapons that included 26 anti-aircraft missiles and six anti-aircraft guns, the U.S. Central Command told CNN.

The other general was captured by British Royal Marine commandos southeast of Basra in a pre-dawn operation on Sunday, the UK military said.

The commandos also killed a Republican Guard colonel and captured four other high-ranking paramilitaries.

Some GOOD news!

Not for CNN! Aren't they on the other side of this conflict?

I think it only fair that we shoot all foreign nationals caught with a gun.

I think we have captured 3 Iraqi generals. The 3rd was at the chemical factory at Al Kut?

Not just generals, but war criminals, who's lives may be spared if they talk.

It has been reported that the Iraqis are saying that the coalition has "taken no Iraqi prisoners."

Pathetic propaganda, but the Arabs (Kuwaitis not included) are buying this hook line and sinker.

I agree. Sadly, the way wars are won and stay won is to kill as many combatants as possible.

" Up to 250 paramilitaries and Baath Party members were killed Saturday when Air Force F-15E fighters bombed a building in Basra containing the loyalists, UK spokesman Group Capt. Al Lockwood said. "

Gee, wonder how we knew they were there?

I seem to remember that they caught two generals at the chemical factory at Al Kut, which would bring the score of captured generals to 4, but I could be wrong. I'll do some poking around and see what I can find.

I would not be surprised to see a lot more Senior Officers being "captured" in the near future.

They know what the deal is.

We haven't taken any prisoners, we just have about 5,000 refugees who used to be Iraqi soldiers.

who's

who's = who is

The possessive of 'who' is 'whose'.
