WASHINGTON (GOPUSA News) -- Congressman Steve King (R-IA) has been attending anti-war rallies in the nation's capital, but it's not to support the marchers. GOPUSA News accompanied the first-term Iowa Congressman to one such rally two weeks ago. King explained that he had been criticized for calling the protesters "anti-American" and decided to observe a march to determine the background of the participants.
Rep. King commented on the "river of malcontents" that paraded past his location at Pershing Park by saying, "If you remove the communists from the march, then the socialists, then the radical Islamists and their sympathizers, then the pacifist liberals, the stream would be dry."
King cited that the primary sponsor of the march was A.N.S.W.E.R., a group with direct ties to the socialist World Workers Party. King declared, "These are not mainstream Americans."

"These are not mainstream Americans."
The polls have been saying this all along. Can someone come up with a way to defund A.N.S.W.E.R?

Wow, I didn't know Iowa had a King.
'Bout damn time we came up with a way to keep Democrats out of power forever ; )

They've got about another month to go; then they'll have to go back to protesting the WTO and attacking corporate profits.
Sucks to be a socialist in 2003.

and more:
Another protester tried to rip the flag from the veteran's hands, managing to tear it but not take it from him. King said that a replacement flag that has been flown over the Capitol specifically for the Free Republic would be delivered to him.

The following Sunday, the Iowa Congressman spoke at The Free Republic's Patriots Rally for America in Washington, DC

Straight thinker and speaker. WOW !

I'm not sure why so many here want to squelch the voices of dissent.
To me, they serve two wonderful purposes:
They signal that the sacred principle of free speech is still alive in our nation, and they illustrate to the majority of our citizens, who support the President and the War on Terror, just how stupid the opposing view really is.

Thanks for your King ping.
It was serendipity when Congressman King found us at Pershing Park. He had been out observing the lefties in their natural habitat when he happened upon us holding the high ground at Pershing Park.
His speech the following Sunday at the Lincoln Memorial was terrific. Iowa is fortunate to have him in Congress. Leadpenny has grand plans for Congressman Kings future.
Oh yeah, Lehigh finished fourth at The Nationals. You being busy and all, I thought youd want to know. All eight qualifiers back next year.

This guy is MY congressman. My family and I worked to get him there. It took a special convention to get him to congress. My family had 5 votes at the convention. God bless Congressman King

At least SOMETHING good comes from Iowa these days.
With opinions like this, we ought to make him King of Iowa and depose Governor Viletax.
