This is very puzzling to me."It's not really puzzling : the military has closed ranks and is protecting Jessica. That can only mean the Iraqis did horrible things to her, and we the public do not have the right to the dirty details. I'm fine with that. All that matters is that she is safe now.

They will never be entirely safe in their homeland again. If they wish it, we should offer them passage and haven here and, when the paperwork is done, welcome them as new citizens of the United States. I for one would be proud to call this guy my countryman.

This family that helped our Marines rescue Jessica shoould be rewarded BIG TIME!!!More than that, they need to be defended against any Saddam loyalists, who might want to make an example out of them. I think that it might have been a good idea to conceal the identity of the family.
